I am incredibly disappointed that this thread did not come with a video of these antics.

Next time when I run a premade I'm going to try and convince a buddy who I know will be game to do it. He didn't log on tonight.

stalker because jager will run out of ammo then stalker is free to fire all day.

or stalemate because jager will just run away from slow stalker.

Stalker takes it on Frozen City and Alpine, Jaeger wins on Tourmaline and Caustic. Every other map is a draw.

Hmm...
Assuming we're talking about these two excellent builds: STK vs JM6.
Alpha edge to the STK, 2.4 vs 0.24
Range edge to the JM6, 90m vs 64
Armour edge to the STK, 526 vs 422
Speed edge to the JM6, 86.4 vs 65kph

220 seconds for the JM6 to reduce the STK to 0 armour
175 seconds for the STK to reduce the JM6 to 0 armour

Analysis: The JM6's only chance is to use it's speed edge to keep the STK at 65-90m, effectively neutering it. If it can do that, it's a no-damage-taken win. If it cannot do that, the STKs superior armour and internal structure gives it the win.

Verdict: The JM6 will win.

The flamer produces something to the effect of 3HPS, it can't stack enough heatsinks to combat this over the long term. The Jager will pretty much always win out as a result, even in a stationary duel. (Even on frozen city)

EDIT: It's important to note that the HPS on the Smurfy mechlab is incorrect, as it doesn't have recycle time assigned to the weapon, so it assumes it triggers 1 time per second.

The results are in: We hope to have a video up soon once our recorder logs on.

The Stalker won, but did not escape unscathed.

The Jagermechs whopping 38000 bullets were unable to escape the fires, even when attempting to gain range as much as possible.

5 minutes of the most solid mech combat ever. We need all fights to last as long as this one!

Notes: Good god the torso range of the Jager is horrible, and really prevented using range to the advantage. Yes I could have possibly kited him the entire match....slowly, but each time you have to actually face your attacker, which means the speed to close is pretty much negligable. You just can't run away and shoot at him at the same time.

He shut down a few times, but then began only firing two or three when he got two hot.

I was also I guess completely unable to hit his cockpit, even when he was shut down.

Of note, the Jager only had the basics unlocked, and the stalker was mastered.

Haha! Second round went to me in my Jager. RCN, went for the ST and ignored the CT this time. As soon as those heat sinks started going (and subsequently losing all the flamers on each side) victory was assured.

Video should be up at some point, the person who recorded it has to do whatever he has to do to go from fraps to youtube.
