just to remeber its IS PPCs, clan PPCs do more dmg. A mech with 6 cERPPCs could do 90 dmg alphas ;-)

Only if they say...hey the heat of a clan er ppc is the same as for the is er ppc
Hope they are more clever: more damage more heat per shot, with less frequent reloads...5.5sec for Clan ER-PPC.
That will made clan er ppcs still be the most powerfull sniper weapons as long as the heat dissipation vs heat threshold is not fixed.

I'd expect people to run only with 4 Clan ER PPCs, if their damage and heat were 15 damage (regardless of the cooldown, unless it's 10 seconds or somethnig).
60 damage, 60 heat. Doable with 20 DHS without overheating on the first shot. So yeah, if they don't fix threshold vs dissipation, it will be silly.

DHS 2.0, hard heat cap. No more 6xPPC mechs. They couldn't restart until they cooled, and couldn't fire again without shutting back down until they dropped below 50%.
This forces logical, reliable energy builds. If you attempt to override emergency shutdown you would probably cause the mech's destruction if it was still too hot (say 50/50). You couldn't fire weapons from an override.
Despite DHS 1.4 heat is not a factor in MWO if your intent is to shutdown and then override each time.
Hard heat cap like previous MechWarrior games used and DHS 2.0 so you don't shutdown from stock loadouts like 3 ERPPCs. Unless you are firing them repeatedly for a while, of course.
Look, when the Clans arrive they will all have 30 plus DHS and DHS 1.4 will no longer be a viable balance. Something to be considering.

The issues I have with PPC boats is they cripple the sub 50ton game.
Even if they miss 3 out of 5 shots, the two that hit will;
Kill a light mech
Kill a slow medium
Wreck a fast medium
Gimp a heavy
The smart PPC boats use 2 groups and fire at the same time which will give them the chance to one shot mechs. With the HSR and the faster travel speed on ppc's means in the hands of a calm capable pilot you can hit the same location 2x killing off all but the heaviest of mechs.
I call my PPC mech the "I win button" and I get a sick pleasure paying forward all the pain I suffered at the hands of them in lighter mechs.

Or just let it be, once clan state of the art weapons are out ppl will change their gears, IS weapons will be outdated. Remember not only cerppc is stronger other clan weapons are stronger too.
At the end is just a damage upgrading for all weapons.
