Should We Speculate About What 'epics' Are Going To Be?

See summary here: http://theoosiks.com...mans-reddit-ama (thanks Oosiks)
My guess? Mech body kit mods, mentioned long ago as a possibility. Spiky shoulder pads for your Atlas. Spoiler for your Jenner. External Christmas lights?
Thinking it will cost huge amounts of mech XP to unlock, since plenty of people have hundreds of thousands, and in some cases, millions of unspent XP on their favourite chassis.
I'd certainly welcome something to grind towards on my favorite mechs, and make it stand out as a machine that's seen a lot of drops.

I really don't know what it can be without making them wildly more powerful than a normal mech. The difference in performance between a mech at Elite and a mech with no Basics is already huge.

I just assumed it would be something purely cosmetic...
I guess there's a few options it could fall under:
1) Cosmetic changes.
2) Actual in-game performance bonus, similar to the mech tree efficiencies.
3) Some kind of meta-game bonus like 'upgrade to champion for permanent 5% cbill boost', or 'deals 1% more territory damage when used in a Community Warfare drop.'

I'm not sure I like any of the options. They're either in the "meh" category or have the potential to be excessively powerful. It's really early to tell though - maybe they came up with something good?

Epics, would just be models of weapons that have slightly better stats than their normal counterpart.
How you acquire these is anyone's guess. Perhaps they will institute a xp system for weapons, which you must grind to unlock the epic version.
