Why Are All The Events Based On Mc?

This is meant to be a free to play game right? I agree we can play for free but am I the only person that feels like the focus of events is for the pay to play people?
Why are there no events that include CBILL discounts. and XP boosts. things that would benefit all the players, not just the pay2play crowd.
So my poll is this ... would you like to see more Cbill, XP or MC events.

Win a couple tournaments and you could buy yourself a hero mech or a bunch of mechbays. Now if they come up with a good ranking system and give out prizes for more than just first place... but that's not the discussion in this thread.
They have done a double XP weekend. I imagine they will do more. CBill bonuses are being introduced for "daily quest" type events in the next few months.

I'd like to see events that did not require MC, say.. a bobble santa for 900k - 2mil C-Bills during Christmas for example.
I love the game (minus the persistent game breaking bugs) and appreciate that its F2P. It would just be nice to have an event without the glowing "No broke people allowed" sign.

There have been XP events, and its been stated that there will be more of them by the Devs.
IIRC, they've danced around c-bill events, but didn't seem opposed to it.
might want to ammend that poll b4 you get your thread closed.

This is about the only events being a discount on MC products. = you have to spend real money to enter the event.
The free to play people who ...lets face it will make up the bulk of the community are not being engaged.
With all the errors/unfinished content in the game ... understandable errors etc ... it is beta still ... people are hesitant to spend real money yet. The devs should work harder to keep the regular F2P players in the game.
On event days there should be XP boosts for NORMAL mechs ... CBILL boosts for normal mechs ... not all of them but select mechs.
Encourage people to play a variety of chassis.
Hell the first win of each day in a chassis should have an xp and cbill boost to encourage people to log in every day. WOT really knew what they were doing when they implemented that idea.

p.s. I'm not entirely sure what is wrong with the wording of the poll.
It does not say ...why do events only pay out MC? it says why are events only BASED on mc?

Catering to the "pay-to players" as you put it helps pony up to keep you from having to subscribe and keep the rented servers that run this game in credit. You planning on grabbing a Blackjack next week? According to interviews with them that's about $25k worth of R&D, which will only cost you pixels. How do you propose they recover that?

as for the sales (events?), they are mc based because they are intended to generate real money, not encourage people to spend fake money. 90% of the f2p market is based around selling fun stuff that has no effect on the game. There have been a few free promo items available in the past, but mostly that is where they make their money. So do not expect to many hand outs in that area...

I have no problem doing XP or C-Bill bonus events, but IMHO, those events should require participating players to be running premium time.
Having C-bill-based sales and events don't require anyone to spend any money might be rewarding for people that don't pay, but that won't keep the lights on.

30% off the MC cost of mechs. nothing else.
The free to play model works because you get millions of people playing and a small percentage of those buy stuff.
therefore the income is still high enough to 'keep the lights on' because there are sooo many people hooked on the game.
There are soooo few events that are designed to increase player population.
