I am having trouble at times when background programs change (ie pandora changes songs) or other changes in windows causes Mechwarrior to basically alt tab itself to the desktop.
I do run multiple monitors with the other windows on the other screen such as voice coms, pandora, net browsers. It always seems that when another mech walks up and engages I get forced out of the mechwarrior window.
I have tried different resolutions, different window modes and nothing helps. It almost seems like the mouse is not bound to the boarders of the game and allows it to be pulled off at times. Anyone else had this issue or know of a fix?

After further testing, the problem is the mouse is not bound to the ingame window. So if you aim to the side too far your mouse will be pulled to your other monitor. Thus if you fire while aimed far to the side, you will not fire but select the other screen.

Both myself and one of my squadmates have had this problem. You may be correct about the cause, but it's a little hard to predict since the reticle doesn't match the actual cursor position (as evidenced by the occasional bug where you get both).

Well i started a match and sat there, dragged my mouse from side to side and watched it go to my other monitor after the mechs torso turn was maxed. First time i actually tried to make it happen, it normally just happens when im being shot from the side and i swing fast to aim.

Sounds interesting. I never had this problem myself, but then again I tweak my system until I am satisfied with the results.

You may also want to check that any hotkey utility isn't causing the problem. I have to disable my hotkeys, or they interfere with the game. Just a thought.

Have 2 monitors hooked up, sit in a match and drag your mouse to the side, it will go to the other monitor. pressing no other keys. Only hotkey that would possible change windows would be alt+tab and with tab being score.

Simple mouse movement.

In order to fix this, just alt-tab once out and back into the game and your mouse will be constrained properly. i have to do it all the time since i play MWO in a window.
