title. stop it. it's f'ing stupid. general discussion was where you could go see what the major issues were that people were having. rather than subdivide the forums until no one can find what they're looking for, just delete the damn forums altogether if you're that afraid of feedback from your player base.

50+ friggin sub-forums.

Impossible to find whats going on.

I would be ok with general going down if there where <10 subs; then you could actually find the information you're after :/

And discussion in general as less people will keep up to date with so many sub-forums and therefore less people will read / reply to the posts in each subforum.

I agree. The General Discussion thread was where we had a real community. How the hell are we supposed to have a community now with nothing communal?

Seriously, PGI. I am usually one of the people defending you to the hilt (except on that laser sound issue...) but this is just ridiculous. I'm glad you guys are not afraid to experiment, but this was a horrible idea. Please use that same judgement and put back a General Discussion forum.

I'm all for sub-forums, but I want my general discussion back...Was it really necessary to delete the one place we all went to for GENERAL DISCUSSION with the other members of the community? Come on now PGI!

That is what they want, more forums/sub forums make it looks like less criticism. Sure you can go to the 'suggestion' sub, but that is just where threads go to die.

More like an effective way to limit visible discussion.

Forums are almost unusable now. Whenever I go to the Forum Index I find myself having a pressing need to do something, anything else rather than wade through subforums.

All the better to make sure new players don't see the train wreck this game has become.

Its easier to hide complaints than address the community and fix it.

divide and conquer. :( less noise this way. cos everyone is confused by the number of subforums.

i actually thought my phone had problem loading the forum this morning. :D

please bring back the old general discussion to where it was before. these are not the bugs you're looking for.

Clearly a very poor damage limitation effort, its very patronising of the community.

It looks like we need a player owned unofficial forum

Unfortunately it's another example of lack of player engagement. What would have been easier would to have presented some options to the playerbase and get their ideas and therefore loyalty and buy in as opposed to just arbitrarily dictating to its players!

Setup a player voted council similar to EVE that u you can sound ideas against PGI!

All PGI wants is (DA MONEY)and they don't want any feedback from the new or old communities there web rating is like -50 on liking the game or the direction it is going that's why they have split the forums up so much there afraid of there player base and all the positive or negative feedback. I personally think PGI is just milking out the MechWarrior community till they quit paying then they will dump the servers and the players and fans. Im sorry but the game just plain sucks its to repetitive and boring and there is no chat lobby's or private matches so best advise just move on to a funner game.

We don't need all these sub-forums. The only two sections I ever visited were General Discussion and Patch Notes. Imagine if something like Facebook did this as well....

Just imagine...

Except... is it easier to find specific feedback on specific topics with the sub-forums? Yes. I believe that was the purpose.

I do think they should have left one general forum, but splitting the forums to streamline the feedback makes sense.
