I know I earn 7500 CBills when I damage an enemy which is then killed before I am.

But do I get credited with any CBills for Kill Assists, if I die before the Mechs I damaged die ???

For example, I run around, damage four enemy Mechs, and then die? Those four enemy Mechs then go on to get killed.

Will I be credited 4 x 7500 CBills at the end of the match? Or will I not earn any CBills for those Kill Assists, because I died before the enemy Mechs did?

Yes, you get credit.

Thanks. I usually focus fire on one enemy. But I guess I am costing myself heaps of CBills when I do that.

Not a good idea. The faster you can take one enemy down the more likely you and your team are to survive and actually win. If you spread damage around too much your damage score may be high, but you will be more likely to lose the game if everyone fires on different target indiscriminately. Losing the game means less CBills.

That's not to say you should have target tunnel vision and only shoot at the current target, if there's occasions where your target is going to be out of your field of fire for a certain amount of time you might as well light up another target on your way to reacquire that target (assuming its still a good target to go for due to new positioning). Ok so there's a lot of factors that I can't go into here, just in general its better to make sure a target goes down as quick as possible as that's better for you and the team.

Truth. You and your teammates should focus on one target until it's dead and then move on. That's how you win.

That's what I thought, and what I've been doing. But it doesn't seem to be a good strategy for Cbill grinding, unfortunately.

Not to mention that you get NO credit if they DO NOT die. (Apart from general damage bonus). You're better off killing mechs than doing one point to each and losing.

Kills are not an efficient way to CBill grind.

This game rewards teamplay. As a result, you will get more XP and CBills for damaging as many mechs as possible, spotting (targeting), and capping. You not only get kill assist bonuses, but also get bonused by the volume of damage you do, even if it does not result in a kill.

Kills are mostly an ego thing in this game. You do get rewarded for them, but they are not an efficient way to obtain rewards.

The only thing winning gets you is a salvage bonus at the end. Winning does not mean as much as people think.

I don't agree with it, but thats the way the DEVs want it right now.

The only exception might be if you are running fast in a light and can "touch" several enemies while keeping yourself alive, though at times you need to stick with the pack, depending on the map/match type.

Au contraire.

Doing it this way, the entire team gets Kills, assists, and possibly even savior assists for every single enemy. Plus salvage, plus damage, + component destruction, +moorexp and Cbills for the win itself. the "worst" thing that can happen is you end up with 8 kills and everyone else has 8 assists, in which case they earned more but you have a badass screenshot ;)

8 people acting as 1 = no better way to farm for the group as a whole.

I specifically mount an ERLL for 'pinging' enemy 'Mechs I can see, even as I move with the team and focus the rest of my battery (as best as I can) on the nominated target. That works well for my slower 'Mech. However I normally PUG sans comms and coordinating focus fire is impossible - particularly because my enter key doesn't seem to work in chat.
