Repair tool has been buggy for me for quite a while.

An official statement / update would be nice.

You need to unlock that module with 3500xp Canadian

repair tool is seemingly a joke at this point, but HEY, we got some new MECHS!! yay PGI!!

Repair tool should be implemented into the launch screen...One of the tool tips says to click the cog for help in fixing some issues..Yet, on my launch screen the cog has no tool, if you will, to fix an issue..it simply says change temporary folder and click for automatic updates..I have used the tool kit several times now over the past few days to help with the memory allocation error I keep getting...it works for a while...but please...fix this....thanks

Sigh I give up. I'll just stick to WOT for my fast PVP games for now. To fail at something as basic as letting players download and install the game is just sad.

Does this repair tool still work with the March 4 patch?

It consistently gets stuck, forcing me to reboot my desktop.

not having this issue with the tool, however after much reading I decided to try a reinstall after an uninstall and the reload was done into a new directory. so far so good even in SLI mode

I have not been unable to run the game at ALL since the 3/04 patch. The game loads up to the point where I log in and type password, then just craps out and exits to desktop. I have tried the FixItTool, uninstalling and reinstalling several times, even updating my graphics driver (though it worked fine before). MWO is replying to my emails, but so far am still dead. Just want to share, so others don't feel alone...

I loaded a custom user.cfg file from the .cfg thread in this sub forum. Succeeded where repair tool, driver updates etc etc had failed. No more CTD issues after that

ok cool if it did work for you ,now don't you think that it would be even cooler if you would explaine what did work and where you got it and how you did it?

Would seem like I am not the only one that has that problem here.

Now a last comment for the DEVS if I may.
Les gas faudrais pas perdre la face avec un problem aussi ridicule que celui ci.
Sinon on sait tous les résultats de la suite. Si je me fais bien comprendre.
Bonne chance
good luck
we all are waiting for that fix

Hey guys... how about reporting these issues to the tech support people instead of just posting to the forums.

However, if you're doing both then I hope you get your issues resolved soon and thanks for letting us know what's going on.

Otherwise, posting here just isn't helping.

just what i needed ;)
no chance to get the game running due to MD5 all the time, total of about 35GB loaded....
the repair tool always crashed when the file downloaded (which needed repair, aparently all due to full reinstall) had an MD5 as well.
so after roughly felt 30 restarts of the tool finally all files had been replaced AND IT IS RUNNING AGAIN, to bad that i forgot to switch back to a house faction due to the stupid MD5 ;)
why cant u guys just let the MD5-Errors be handled by the repair set automatically?
especially when the system notices file to small, instead of checking for the last 4 bytes you need the full 4 GB again.
having a chance to make a "cross" somewhere like download file by file should help a TON with those MD5 matches!

There's no real "fix" for that outside of reducing the settings for this game to reduce memory consumption. That's the only way that will help you out. Every setting on low or medium (particularly textures) should help alleviate this issue.

It works AFAIK. It may be easier to delete some/most/all of the PAK files to reduce the checks, but you'll end up redownloading the paks that you deleted. The safest bet it Objects and Textures, but if there's a particular camo that's causing you to crash in game, delete them as well so the Repair Tool will get you a clean copy.
