I'm having the same problem. People telling me to click things that don't exist. I'm assuming this has to do with running the game from Steam rather than the stand-alone download. I'm curious, are you running from Steam as well?

The post you quoted was from 2017.. over 2 years ago. Steam uses Integrity Check while Standalone has the MWO Repair Tool. This thread was actually a sticky until it was no longer relevant.

The repair tool is available only via the standalone MWO launcher. If you are using steam, use the integrity check tool.
