Just to pick nits, these aren't the Unseen, but the Reseen. The likelihood of a Warhammer or Marauder, Wasp or Stinger, Crusader or Archer is still close to zero.

I call BUNK on this. Why? Because that is what everyone was saying about ALL / ANY of the Unseen prior to today. Now, all of a sudden it's oh well, psfh....yeah. Or course they release the NON-Macross Unseen. But, they'll NEVER release the MACROSS Unseen....

Heard before, didn't believe it then. Not believing it now. I will use same argument as two days ago, before the PP announcement. With Alex's treatment, they can use ANY UNSEEN/RESEEN/CLASSIC mech they CHOOSE to because no one else (Japan) owns the rights to the NAMES of the mechs.

Just be patient and stop using bad logic.

I'll just go ahead and quote the sarna.net page on the Reseen, since you seem to have ignored it:

Quote

The Reseen are 'Mechs that were formerly Unseen but thanks to negotiations with the property owners are now present in the BattleTech universe. They include the Locust, Griffin, Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt, Scorpion, Wolverine, and BattleMaster.

Some highlights include:
* Formerly Unseen
* Now present in the BattleTech Universe thanks to negotiation with the property owners (note: NOT Harmony Gold)
* Four of the seven are the exact 'mechs in MWO's Project Phoenix; Locust, Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt, and BattleMaster.

The Macross 'mechs are still Unseen. Only these seven are Reseen.

And as long as Harmony Gold can even threaten legal action, it's extremely unlikely we'll see any of the Unseen.

since the flea is still coming out.

Look, it's a prophecy, you're only supposed to take the parts that fit and proclaim it true and thus start a religion or something.

The artwork is the problem, PGI has it's own unique Artwork. Problem solved. Bring on the Warhammers and Marauders, just make them look good.

Where's my Wolverine and Griffin?
Shadow Hawk is insufficient.

If MASC is limited per 'canon' variant, like I am assuming it will be, the Flea will be faster (w/ MASC and biggest engine).

Yeah, I'm not religious or anything so I'll pass on that. But is there any chance you could give me some lottery numbers to try this week?

I only hope, that when they will finally add Flea and MASC to the game, and lift max speed cap, they wouldn't forget to increase Locust's max engine rating, because as it is now, it's ridiculous.

Goes further than this. If you don't use the original art or a very close facsmile, then its not the same mech. PGI can use their own artwork but the result would have to be something that is so different it no longer is a Maraduder or Warhammer.

Just look at the Phoenix Project locust for example. Honestly there is nothing about it that remotely reminds me of all the artwork and CGI I have every seen of a locust, well except it has two legs and a torso with no arms.

Here is another example, take a Cataphract, give it 2 PPCs and 2 MLs in the arms and add a AC/5 in the LT. Now lets call it a Marauder. I mean it is the same weapons load out right? Still I doubt anyone would ever think of it as a Marauder.

It's still the first step under a lawsuit, if they wanted too. Russ himself said HG are actively protecting the ip due to a robotech movie in the works, although latest rumors on that is it fell over.

If the phoenix presale does well enough, maybe harmony gold can be bought off with a percentage of sales from a presale packag Archers, Maurders, warhammers, etc.

That's my one hope of ever seeing a Maurder in game.
