While sitting in a match earlier, I had an idea.

I know there are plenty of people who want a full look at their mech while in game. So I think I came up with a solution.

At the begining of the game, just before the start up sequence, allow the camera to pan around the mech from the outside... then, cut to the inside for the Start up sequence...

After this the match will progress normally.

At the end of the match, the camera zooms out, before the score screen, and shows all remaining players their mechs, so we can get a good look at the over all damage done to the mech.

Then the score screen pops up.

I think this is a fair way to go about it.

I'd love to see a match recorder that you could play back from any angle.

Why? Why introduce something that can possibly be harmful to the overall gameplay, when I offer a solution that allows for your desire to see your mech, without breaking the game in any way?

Yes to the OP's suggestion and hell no to coolant's suggestion. I don't want people being able to peak around corners and over buildings. You think pop tarting is bad now!?

Cool idea OP. I'd love to check out my colors in game when I mess with camos or painting and that sounds like a good way to do it.

That would be pretty cool. Way more interesting than just sitting around in your mech doing nothing while waiting for the rest of them to load.

You know, I don't get these people who want to "see their mech in game" so they ask for 3rd person. All that 3rd person is gonna do is allow you to see the back of your mech (if they don't make it a completely cheese 360 cam). With the OP's suggestion you will be able to see your mech entirely, 360 degrees right before and after a match. Thats good enough. Or is their true intention to guilt the devs into putting 3rd person in only. I bet they couldn't care what their mech looks like really.
