A friend and I have been making mechs that aren't in MWO out of mechs currently in MWO. This was actually really fun (even though stock table top values kinda suck). Who knows, maybe you'll find something you like.

Here's the challenge:
Make as many mechs as you can that aren't in MWO currently. Try to make it close to the specs listed on sarna.net while making it decent in MWO. For example, here's a puma http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Adder_(Puma)
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7984e1784b92776

Here is a Hussar http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hussar
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...568433bff0f1f56

Here's a Bushwacker http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Bushwacker
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...da4233401590ad6

Here's a Nova Cat http://www.sarna.net...at_(BattleMech)

I'm sure these designs can be improved on, but you get the idea.

Here's a Thug-11E, the prime variant.

(had to downgrade the engine from 320 to 300 since the AWS-8T can only handle the Vlar-300... and so it's a couple tons shy but I used every single slot by adding more SRM ammo and Artemis guidance. I moved ammo to the legs to remove 2 CASE's and freed up the crit space to add Artemis... and it already has maxed-armor ... so Deal with it.

CTF-6R
Replaced the 2ML and 2SL with a MPL due to hardpoints.

Replaced the 2MG with an AC/2 due to hardpoints and bad crit mechanics.

Not perfect, but it has a close enough weapon mix to the WHM-6R that it should mimic it well enough in actual gameplay.

Here's the Cestus
JM6-S CTS-6Y.
Although I think I like it better on a cataphract, 5 extra tons but, better hard point location IMO. I just upped the engine size to use the extra weight. CTS-6Y

and here's an Ostroc OSR-2C

Nice mechs! There's something fun about stock mechs. Perhaps it's being able to shoot at all ranges.

Here's the COM-1D Ghetto Panther PNT-10K (and here's the Sarna entry for the Panther for those wanting to compare accuracy).

I've dropped in that build over 50 times, and it's not as terrible as you might think now that the (ER)PPC is buffed and HSR is in. I'm still too fast and a bit under-armored, but apart from that, it's a pretty good approximation of a PNT-10K.
