is there plans for a general chat in the lobby/social in the pipes? would sure be nice to get/give help in there while lab ratting.

exactly, so not an ingame chat where you can chat with fellow mechwarriors at will as opposed to posting on forums :-/

oh i am sorry, i thought this was another whining thread about losing the general discussion forum (there more than a few that are butt sore <-sore because the forums block "hurt") by the change). some sort of in game area like that might be nice for the hordes that don't linger on the forums.

Yeah. It would also help with grouping and voice chat. IF we are already forced to relyon on third party software for voice, we could at least get a chat ingame to allow puplic groups to find themselves before a game and set up a TS (or other) channel for their game.
