Wouldn't its torpedo-like side profile give it an unfair disadvantage?? Seems like it would be really easy to hit from the side.

How is that really any different from the Catapult?

Won't the Dargon have such a disadvantage too. It does have a rather massive beer belly.

All mechs have pros and cons. It's long side profile is balanced by its relatively small front profile.
I'm all for including it. Alex already did a sexy redesign of it, and I for one want to see it. Also I know I speak for my main man Bullwerk on this one.

Nothing wrong with more variety for people who want it. Also it would give us a fire support platform in the assault class with at LEAST four missile hard points. For everyone who wants a LGB, just rip out the lasers and SRMs and add a couple more LRM racks.

All the more reason to include it. If it has a weakness or a disadvantage, then it will fit right in a video game. Massive firepower at the cost of an unwieldly shape.

Yeah, really could use the Stalker as addition to the assault class. You have the Raven, Cicada, Catapult with the bird legs, no handy arms and narrow body profile, the Stalker would fit that theme.

Because god knows, it'll have an advantage in missile (at least 4) and beam (at least 6) hardpoints for people who want those...

I'm guessing PGI, as they've done thusfar, would do it justice, and make it less...phallic.

+1. Right now there are only 2 announced assaults compared to 3 in each other weight class. Heavies have the Catapult for fire support. The Stalker would make an excellent third assault as the only assault with lots of missile hardpoints. (I am assuming the Atlass only has 1 missile hardpoint in each side torso, one for each launcher in the base configuration, but I could be wrong)
Though I admit there are Awesome variants that bring missile racks to bear, so if we see the AWS-8R or 8T, that would go a long way to aleviating the lack of fire support assault chassis.
