Alphastriking (Ppc) Builds Are Fine

This is not real issue there are 6 PPC stalkers and poptarts - these are fine considering what compromises a player has to make for such builds, and doing so they are very vunerable to brawlers ambushing them.So much hated and feared poptarts and 6 PPC stalkers are practically sitting ducks if charged and attacked at close range - but to do there have to be few fast brawlers in the team.
The real problem arises because there are no pre-match lobby and convienient in-game communication means.Players can't make balanced team by choosing mechs for filling exact role on battlefield, agree tactics and so on,and during play they can't cooperate each other easily.

6xPPC is a valid config though, but it should shutdown after 2 salvos for an extended time. And we should also have better DHS instead of the soft heatcap exploit. New players take the pointy end since they believe the mech will blow itself up if they need to hit the override.

I got swarmed by 3 light mechs once while riding my 4 ppc + 3 ssrm2 stalker. I was practically alone. I popped the raven on it's side torso, he blew up immediately. 1 jenner and 1 streakmando left. I walk backwards, 1 alpha to the jenner and he was legged, then another alpha to his CT and he is gone. the streakmando? I chained fire my 4 ppcs and nuked him to death with my 3 ssrm2. oh gawd I felt like a pro
My cheese is definitely stronger

That's the 4 vs 1 thing. 4 brawlers vs 1 ppc mech are going to win too. 1 on 1 if a brawler can get into range, they win easily, depending on tonnage/ armor.

Well, stupid is as stupid does. If I were in a Raven or Jenner you would never get a shot at me in a Stalker. I'd just stay in your 6 and you'd go poof. Seems like in a Light mech each adversary has a weak spot, usually you might need to circle, but for a Stalker just stay behind them is pretty easy.

This is a problem why? It is a combat game. In combat I am not supposed to let you get into knife range. Mind you, I run a AC20 Jager(51w/34L & 105K/53). Brawling is all I can do in this Mech.

Yes,that's why I've mentioned about pre-match agreement what mechs to take into a match and cooperation during match. There are 4 poptarts on enemy side?Let our light and 2 brawlers flank and focus fire on one of them, while friendly poptarts keep poking them.No poptart I've ever encounter is viable to defend itself well in dogfight, and it is fine.
Well, from my personal obervations during 8 vs 8 matches,it worked the best when we had 2-3 lights,2 poptarts and the rest brawlers, two 5 LL stalkers among them.If enemy had many poptarts first the light came to harass them, and that distraction were used by brawlers to charge enemies;meanwhile our poptarts did their part.
The problem it may arise with 6 ppc boats is coolant flush and as mentioned already here and many other threads, heat management. But introducing penatlies for high heat rather can't be done well with the current heat management I'm afraid;it needs practically to be rewritten.
