There is a micro-nation in Nevada called Molossia.
It is basically a front yard, a house, and a back yard.

It also declared war on East Germany, when that was a 'thing'.

There is actually a reason for this. A camel race is held every year in Virginia City, and the only way to get up to Virginia City is a winding highway with a great many hairpin turns and blind corners. Camels walking up the highway would cause more than a few most assuredly fatal accidents.

Dogs and cats have no collar bone.
Lighting not only often strikes twice, but has been recorded to strike the same spot up to many times in a fraction of a second.
Sharks and rays have pits all across their body that enable them to detect the electric fields generated by anything with a nervous system (and some things without).
The Atlantic Torpedo (a type of ray that can grow up to 2 meters long) can generate up to 220 volts of electricity. In the U.S. the normal power outlet is 120 volts for comparison.
Most of the sea urchins harvested for food off the coast of California are shipped to Japan.
Tokyo has the world's largest fish market.
In Japan the traditional method of erecting structures made of wood and stone uses no nails. The nails in floor boards of some of the old castles were there as audio anti-intruder alarms only and provide no structural support to floors in any way.
There is a kind of frog that can survive being frozen solid for months or even years.

I've been to it, it's a blast.

Old bar trick:

Give someone 3 Quarters, 4 Dimes and 4 Pennies (equals $1.19) and bet them they can't make change for $1.

Oh, and green gummy bears are strawberry flavored.

A fun trick if you ever own an apiary. Male bees, also know as drones, have no stingers. They are slightly larger than a female honey bee though, making them look extremely hostile to people who don't recognize them.

Grab a jar full of them, and approach a friends car. While casually talking to them with the jar of drones in your pocket, pretend to trip, then open the jar into their window. Works every time.

Just make sure the car is off please.

Language evolved as an extension of pack dynamics

The stupid measurement unit the "foot" was once determined by the length of the British Kings foot.

Vike is a verb that means to take by force or "to jack that sh#t" the vikings were simply the ones who jacked that sh#t

It also apparently exists on Google Maps, thus claming legitimacy
