As for using the UAVs to implement 3rd person view. That's the best possible method, and if it's time limited, then it doesn't kill the game. If UAVs can't move, can only hover in place, then they're not broken.

I don't see a problem with using them that way. I don't have a problem with 3rd person itself if it makes sense (ie is only while using a UAV), and isn't overpowered, this might be ok.

It would be really cool if you can shoot them down though. (Ten to one you can't ;) )


I read in the update that you will be able to shoot them down. This all sounds good to me.

UAV Consumable

Players can now equip and launch a new battlefield consumable – the UAV drone. This automated unmanned vehicle will launch 150m into the air, and keep station for up to 60 seconds before self-destructing. The UAV can burn through ECM, providing targets for allied team members. UAVs are vulnerable to weapon fire.

since People ask about what Brian meant with UI 2.0 removing Need of Trial mechs.

I can't wait for the seismic sensor and the UAV. I just find it funny that a company down the road makes both of them.
