The group I'm supposed to be part of loves to drive power builds in assault, and simultaneous-dropping all the time. About once a week I try to play along, but the games just blow chunks for me, and so I go back to pugging. That they carp about how boring the game is seems pretty Zen, if you ask me …

I think a good-sized chunk of the problem is my Elo isn't anywhere near theirs, now that they've inflated it with cutting edge meta-exploits, but we'll never know.

I've said, once or twice, we need separate Elos for Team and Pug play, but now I'd like to see something that can say, diplomatically, how "you don't belong here" when teams from up: Being out of one's dept just isn't fun.

Something that enforces similar Elos in a team would be ham-fisted: I just want a heads up about a team being a bad idea, weather I'm the low-outlier in the teams' spread, or the high one. I might not need even that much detail …

The part where Elo would let us ignore people of other Elos is defeated by forming teams.

This is bad for all parties involved …

Your check-after-one-match both waists everyone's time at lest for a match, and features the same-ol'-same-ol' BS about "damage done" and "lights don't carry their weight."

Some hint about Elo when forming a team would avoid all that crap …

Go to the WoW forums for the reason as to why not: Any and all posting there is judged entirely by gearscore, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with gearscore-required content (you can't even have an opinion on in-game pets without someone saying "shut up ur bad gearscore much lol".

YOU may be "diplomatic" but it absolutely would not stay that way. The forums would only be the beginning of it. A vicious heirarchy would ensue, much like it already has in games with statistics publicly shared.

Do you judge someones post by this? Does it matter in game if I know I am the High/low man in the group? Are we all still in Junior High and the cool kids opinion mean more then the smart kid? Say what you gotta say and ignore the dorks!

seriously who cares, elo is just yet another synthetic statistic and doesnt say much when it comes to single person/player

I read Lovecraft, and have a couple "Afflicted" friends and family... I also broke out laughing when I saw the position my Brother died in... Whatever.
