Hi all, not sure if anyone else has come across this bug. I'm using a Spider 5D, my armor is max for everything except for my left arm. If I were to set my left arm to full armor (20), my final tonnage will be 29.4t. To round it off to 29t, I slowly reduced the armor points.
At 15pts of armor, the tonnage shows 29.3
At 14pts of armor, the tonnage shows 29.2
But at 11pts of armor, the tonnage shows 29.3 again
At 10pts of armor, the tonnage shows 29.2 again
Only at 7 points of armor does the tonnage show 29t
I guess my question would be, should it have rounded off to 29t at 10pts of armor?

I've see this too.
It goes back up magicly to .3 when you'd think it would do like .19 or something.
I believe every 32 pts of armor is 1 ton.
Every lick click of the armor is:
0.03125 of a ton. I chopped 1 into 32 parts...... 1/32 = 0.03125
.03125x 5 times to get down to 10.
When you took the 5 pts off to reach 10, its 0.15625 they round it up to a .2
Edit: they got it right. The actual number you don't see is 29.15625 they round it up to 29.2.

I am not sure its limited to the Spider. I was having difficulty allocating armor on my CN9-D when I switched it to FF. The first time around it wouldn't even let me go above 49.9 total tonnage, but after saving and going back in it let me allocate more points up to 50 total tons.

I am having this same issue and have submitted a bug with screen shots. Happens on the SDR-5V w/ Ferro and Case. Degress the armor by 1 and the tonnage goes up instead of down.
Regardless if the Math is correct, the fact that it is reporting the tonnage to the user in a non linear fashion is still a bug.

Yeah on some mechs the FF upgrade seems to allow it to go overweight by 1 armor point
