the question is if you will still obtain the normal colour shemes or if you will need to overwrite them and
they are gone for good

This is currently the case for Founders mechs. You can change the pin stripe but you lose that "Founders Yellow" colour and would have to purchase a similar yellow if you wanted it to be returned to the stock look.

Maybe there will be a reset to default button.

With how greedy PGI is i cant imagine them just giving away the 3 hero mech colors free to use on every mech

Sounds great, I really don't want to change the colors but would swap the black and pink colors (i.e. pink stripes on black) if able to do so.

Those mechs are painted with a magic coating mate.

And the yellow colour stripe it's not even included, even if we founded them.
