This is prolly old news. Just had a guy say Alt-F4 gives you 3'rd person view. I'm a bit drunk, did it before my brain kicked in. I feel like a complete *****. Don't be as n00by as me kids!!

EDIT: I D I O T is a swear word now?

I'm more surprised that people are still using that trick. I thought it would have stopped being funny by now. Then again, there are plenty of drinks in the world.

Yeah, 5 pints of lager will screw your judgement. Knew it was wrong as I was doing it. I'm 33 and spent most of that gaming FFS! Total n00bage.

I just posted about this in another thread - my guildmate pulled that trick a few days ago and like 4 people all discoed all at once. It was glorious.

We were all noobs once, consider it a right of passage ;)

I've paid my dues man! Leonard Goldstein and Aaron Silverberg are both rich men. I suspect it's karmic retribution for being drunk at 1PM. Or possibly for the borderline anti-semitism.

This is one of those threads that should just auto-repost itself ever other week. As long as we have Windows, we will have the Alt-F4 trick. It's easy to forget and blindly follow the suggestion. Perhaps PGI should add a reminder about this to their list of hints while the match loads.... right after "The Hulu girl is not a lie".

Now if we all ran Linux we wouldn't have this problem........ kidding.... kidding of course.

Well I guess the only good thing is that the Alt-F4 gag only works once per person in their lifetime (unless they are very very dim). I can only hope the only people that still use this are those who are around the age of 12. I'm sure when I was that old I did the same thing to others.

Seen it happen 3 times since I posted this thread. Worked on every occasion, 2-4 discos every time with a promise of 3rd person. It wasn't the same guy.

I didn't even want 3rd person, I'd never use it. Curiosity/Stupidity/Alcoholism killed the cat.
