So yeah hero stalker with what I can see so far is a LA 2 energy and a missile door, LT Gauss, CT 1 energy, RT 1 srm6, RA 2 energy and a missile door.

Yeah, I'm not sure what I think of that. At least it isn't up on the arms, which would be pretty OP (the Stalkers are known for barely having to peak over a hill to hit with their upper arm weapons). Still, I can think of some nasty build options - and that Gauss doesn't have to *stay* a Gauss...

Yeah, that was my first thought too! The name really fits the look

I've been studying the picture, and I think we are looking at the following hardpoints:

Energy - 5: 2 in RA, 2 in LA, 1 in CT
Ballistic - 1: 1 in LT
Missile - 2: 1 each in RA and LA

We can't see the missile bays, of course, but the bay doors appear to still be there. This would also keep it from being better for either energy or missiles than any other existing Stalker, so the only advantage it has is the gain of the single ballistic mount... and it trades a couple missile mounts to get there, when compared to the normal variants.

I suspect builds may look a lot like what we see on Atlases, just on a smaller tonnage frame with a nasty paintjob

^This!! Watch for the new wave of p2w and qq if it gets 4 ppc space + the gauss. A *slightly* more balanced loadout would be more along the lines of-

3 arm/L-RT energy
1 CT energy
4-5 missile
1 ballistic

Super-easy to hit stalker side torso+exploding gauss+probable XL engine for the PPC heavy builds...

Not nice enough for me to join the everyone drives an assault mindset but nice nonetheless.

I'm not sure how I feel about every assault having a hero variant given the current meta of assaults everywhere though
I would have liked to see a hero bucket, though that would just give every medium a hero, ah well all in time I suppose.
