not you specifically, but read the comments and it's been mentioned MANY times, and "reading between the lines" is the genesis of almost all the QQ on these forums, as it involves making **** up and guessing instead of actual facts.

the second half of your statement, while still speculation, is interesting. J. Elliot Jamison indeed would make for a worthy Hero to represent the Stalker, and in fact is truly the only "famous" Stalker pilot I can recall, and renaming his mech after a planet that soaked up so much Dragoon blood would indeed be proper.

I hear that the Misery is the 8S. Is that true? :)

Is it just me or does the mouth and eyes either look like an A-10 Warthog or a P-40 Warhawk?

Well the stock loadout seems to be: 2ML in each arm, LL center torso, Gauss left torso, SRM6 right torso.

Only one ballistic to start with, we will have to see if there is more than one hard point.

Nice to see new music in the trailers.

Between the shark's mouth pattern and that big *** Gauss Misery from the right side it looks like its chomping a stogie.

I am looking at the hardpoints and the stock layout in the patch notes and with Misery it seems that what you see is what you get. There is no additional hardpoints. That is somewhat disappointing but I will still buy it, try it and tell about it here this evening after I have had some quality hands on time with it. I will probably start by using Double Heatsinks and a Standard 300 engine like I do with almost every Stalker I have owned.

yeah. Hardpoints a little underwhelming, was hoping for 2 ballistic, and more missiles. Interesting quirks though +10% turn speed and +10% accel/deccel. Might buy it anyway

Quirks:
- 10% increase in turning rate
- 10% increase in acceleration

Another step on p2w way.

I wonder if the 10%+ turning speed and accel/deceleration will help this thing match up to the 3F with its superior torso twist.

misery has only 7 hardpoints and not the twist range of the 3F.. so the misery has it downsides too.

That mech sux.I thought I will buy it but hey 7 hardpoints and torso twist of 5S cmooon.
3F is still the king of Stalkers and cool skin will not change it.Misery is mech for pokemon trainers...

Is the build on smurfy for Misery at all accurate? If it is then PGI's messing with us. Standard heat sinks with 22 free slots? SRM ammo in the torso and not the legs?

So how is it? I'm a little skeptical about how things will work out in practice...

I guess it will vary from pilot to pilot. Some use a lot of lateral moves and will really feel the lack of 3F torso twist. Others will barely notice it.

I'm not to discouraged about the lack of missile hardpoints. A bit dissapointed by one single ballistic but it's good enough for me.

Clearly they are trying to stick with the spirit of stock mechs... Less than optimal configuration in stock form

The spirit of stock mechs is the spirit of inadequacy. I was hoping they'd stick to the pattern of the X-5 and release a stock configuration that was still effective.

I'm personally very disappointed. I thought this was a buy for sure, but losing 3 missiles and a laser for one ballistic slot along with the reduced torso twist has changed my mind. Misery got screwed even worse than Pretty Baby with two less hardpoints than the previous worst variant. I can see the PPC and LL boat crowd being happy with this layout, which is fine if you don't use missiles. Sad to say I won't be buying after all. Glad I didn't purchase the MC ahead of time...

This default rig actually performed well. While I had hoped to keep the arm missiles too, that's not as disappointing as not having a second ballistic hardpoint. I was really looking forward to some twin barrel screenshots. Now there's absolutely no reason to downgrade to AC/2 or MG.

Running it stock for the first time came out great. 3 kills, 3 assists, 400 something damage.
(If vid doesn't run it's still processing.)
