That bad, eh?
Stalker 3H

It had 2 SRM-2s (not streaks, SRM-2s), and two LPL with lots of DHS and nothing else. This was when LPLs did as much heat as ER PPCs do now.
3H Flamer Stalker gets 517 damage in less than one minute. First shot fired after I start recording.

I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Running this at the moment: Misery Got both PPC's opposite to my Gauss rifle so I don't loose to much firepower if it gets blown to hell.

Actually the Misery has the 2nd best twist out of all the Stalkers - the STK-3F being the best.

Running it stock for the first time came out great. 3 kills, 3 assists, 400 something damage.
(If vid doesn't run it's still processing.)
You are someone that has, IMO, more money than sense.

Yes, but 65 is a hell of a lot closer to 60 than it is to 85. I still don't like it and I'm not going to shell out thirty dollars even if it does have a slightly better torso twist than the variants that I also don't like. Whether it's one crit slot or two less than the previous worst variant it still has virtually no missiles, which are my personal favorite part of a Stalker. This is a slower CTF-1X with one extra missile point and barn-like side torsos and no arms and 35 degrees less torso twist.

Well if you don't like it don't buy it. You don't have to like every single hero mech. I personally don't like the Pretty Baby and the Death Knell so I didn't buy them. The Misery's unique feature is that it is a Stalker with a ballistic. If that's not compelling or you think other mechs do the same job run those that's perfectly fine.

That's cool then - to each their own. I think I'm going to pass on this one after all. I jumped on the Highlanders and then realized that "Oh yeah - I'm not a big assault mech fan."

You do know the gauss ammo does not explode right? You don't need CASE in there.

The reduced number of hard points is pretty much party for the course with Hero mechs. Despite the ever-present cries of pay to win, Hero's almost always have fewer hard points. Turning and acceleration is pretty reasonable for perks, too. I'll miss the 3F's twist, but those aren't bad.
I'm really sad that it's only one ballistics hardpoint, as I'd been fantasizing about a 2xUAC5 build, but I'll make due with one. No Gauss for me, thanks, not in a stalker.
As to making an Atlas obsolete.... yeah, no. 15 tons, higher Max armor and speed, particularly with the benefits of putting that tonnage into the engine and saving 6 critical slots for dhs.
Still, this will serve very nicely as my second Stalker with wildly different loadouts compared to my 3F.

Will give it a try nonetheless, i'm really in the mood for something new right now. At least it's got zombie potential, maybe more than the 5M...

Iprefer the UAC5 build; good dps output and no heat issues, and able to continue dishing out the hurt even after suffering substantial damage.
It's a fun mech and it looks badass.

Is it at all superior to the hexa PPC stalker? Does the gauss outweigh the loss of space for heat sinks?
