Not gonna lie.

I sure the hell didn't see this coming........

But It might just be my first Assault Hero. Overpriced? Check. Look SICK AS HELL? Check.

Better start trying to like stalkers, I guess.

You have to play sly Mr. Bishop! The courageous life of a brawler does not sit well with a Stalker pilot. You are a sneaky overgunned walking pillbox! A stealer of kills!

Your niche is the Alpha! Your size and weapon placement allows you cower behind cover and make fleeting and horribly powerful strikes at the enemy at very little risk to yourself. You are Mr Hull down! Mr Sniper! Mr Opportunist!

Expose, fire, retreat, cackle, repeat.

Maybe it will get a torso twist worse than the regular Stalkers.

Everyone QQ'ing about 4ppc 1gauss stalkers has absolutely no idea just how terrible an idea that is.

Just playing around in smurfy, I'm looking at about 15 DHS max, and that's already when taking an XL engine (and I had to go with an XL250, so the speed is terrible). Not to mention XL + TorsoGauss is a bad idea. And then you have to majorly skimp on armor to even begin fitting ammo for that gauss.

And hey, PGI has already said they're nerfing PPCs.

Anyone who runs 4PPCs isn't going to bother with those ballistics. Takes up too much space where you need to cram DHS in.

The CT energy hardpoint is nice, though. Might be a suitable replacement for my STK-5M.

If it got more than 1 hardpoint for ballistics in that torso it's mine.

-Mean looking
-Battle scarred
-Possible X2 baliistic points [Aka flexible loadout]

Yea, never liked stalkers but I love this one in that case.

Sigh. If the more expensive hero mechs (assaults, heavies) were maybe 30-50% less, myself and many others would probly own them all. It is not about the amount of money, but the value for that money. And I just don't care to spend 30+ on a single digital mech with a mediocre cbill boost that I do not need. Especially not with how "great" pgi has been doing lately. If they lowered some prices I think they very well might make a lot more. Oh well.

Finally ran through all my Founder's MC, so same boat here.
I'm totally willing to buy a $50 or $100 pack of MC, but I won't be getting any more hero mechs (or at least heavy/assault) until they're on sale.

Don't think that will be possible with gauss weighing 15 tons.

J. Elliot Jamison, commander of Wolf's Dragoons' Zeta Battalion piloted a Stalker for most of his career, serving with distinction during the Battle of Misery and the Fourth Succession War. [10]

Battlemechs
For most of his career, Jamison was a renowned Stalker pilot. [4] After the reorganization of the Dragoons in 3055, it was strongly indicated that the Colonel upgraded his machine to a Clan Omnimech along with the rest of the unit, though the exact 'mech he used at this point was unknown. [13]

OMNIMECH?

The difference between this mech being a winner and a dud will be which stalker's torso twist it inherits.

It looks awesome but when I noticed the eye and teeth, that ruined it for me.

Seeing as it's 3050 in the timeline at the moment, Jamison would still be piloting his Stalker, no.

Another non-canon Hero 'mech (the Wolf Dragoons reference is tenuous at best) with a fairly cheesey 'shark teeth' paint-job, and a huge ballistic wang/cigarette sticking out from the side of it.

Ugly and weird. No thank you.

4PPC + GR would be possible only with 14 DHS and STD 235's or below 250 rated engines. XL would be suicidal.. I think that the chassis won't have any missile hardpoints in the arms it should be:

-RA+LA = 2x energy each
-RT= 1 Missile (6 tubes)
-LT= 1 Ballistic
-CT= 1 Energy

By this and considering the non-safety of the side torsoes this thing should shine with an AC 20 and lasers, but atm brawling isn't that good with the current meta.

And it's left to see if its torso twist is limited to that of the majority of the stalkers or if it's similar to that of the 3F (by this it would be a good brawler, otherwise it would be pretty limited). Anyhow, I'm leaning more toward this than the HM.

Look at the Picture, there are the 2 Missile Doors on the arms, so at least 2 Missile Hardpoints, 1 Ballistic and 5 Energy. Stalker always was hardpoint king.

RA+LA: 2x Energy, 2x Missile
RT: 1x Energy
LT: 1x Energy, 1x Ballistic
CT: 1x Energy

But i do miss the Lasers on the Arms...

Could it be just 2x Missile, 3x Energy and 1 Ballistic?

This will be the first time I spend money on an unfinished game, but I'm a Stalker fanatic. It can't be helped.

Ehhh... so it's time to get into Stalkers.

One thing irks me - are they going to remodel Stalkers with dynamic mesh (as in: Higlander & Jagermech) or just strap ballistics on the existing chassis like they did with K2?

Was thinking the same. Only Stalker with a reference to Misery I could find.

Nope. Tara piloted a Stalker and she was also in Misery. She was the only person from her lance to survive and her company had only 4 people left after the fight.
