so im finishing up the trebs now, (love the 7M im going to be sad to put it in storage for the short term while working a new group)

the Poll lists the only mechs i have left needing to be mastered. My current urge was to use the Hunchback, while yes those side toros are always just a giant bullseye they look like they might be fun also the 8 ML loadout is funny. but with how badly only 4-5 ML over heat i can only imagine 8....

i fell in love with jump jets (not just for poptarting but for faster turns and ability to **** people off by dodging them) so the Cataphract actualy got on my radar as well, i wasnt really thinking of doing a heavy for awhile though but i might change my mind. I just want to use differnt builds then i have with everything else. And the cataphract builds are covered by either the Jager or the Catapult BUT it has JJ so that could give it a much more unique playability.

i could care less about the dragoon honestly not because its a bad mech but because ive used its builds with other mechs alot. then again its high speeds + the extra tonnage might make those builds work better or allow me to do the tweaks with it ive been itchin for.

i love lights but the spider just doesnt call to me maybe when they deal with the 150 speed cap and netcode but until then mech. Jenner is one thats caught my eye many times with the added jump jets too it could be alot of fun.

im not fan of the slow assaults but with all the whining people do i wouldnt mind trying a PPC stalker its just the cash required to level them all is insane. Its why i only have the atlas done at moment. I did buy a month of premium so cash might not be a horrible issue.

thanks for help and advice. if you could share your opinion on best variant to start with or want to share any tips/personal experience id be happy to hear it.

My favourite Mechs are the CTF-3D and my X-5, in terms of fun factor, if that helps.

Don't put an XL in the CTF though. They die too quickly due to the huge torsii.

I'd recommend the Hunchback 4P. There's nothing else quite like it. :D If you can manage the heat (and manage to stay alive), you'll tear through enemies like assault mechs do.

( If 9ML isn't hot enough: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e08ba2261477c48 )

Probably don't need JJs on a Jenner... just makes your legs easier to hit.

If you've got MC, the CN9-A is on sale. Honestly I haven't found a mech that I enjoy more than my stable of Centurions. They're pretty great mechs. I've just started piloting the CN9-D and it is fantastically fun. I run it basically stock except I swap out the LRM10 for 2xSRM4 Artemis.

I just played a fun round where I got 5 kills. Basically you wait till an enemy's armor gets ripped off and they retreat... then you use your speed and that nasty LBx10 to blow their unarmored CT. Crit-city! Big boom! It's great for killing poptarts too... they can't hit ya!

Hbk 4P ftw :-)

The 4SP and 4P are my favorite mechs by far. Centurions are also great fun. Especially the CN9-A with tripple SRM6 and the CN9-D with a 385XL are hilarious.

If you want a jumping heavy I would say the catapult. As for non jumping mediums, I voted hunchback, but the centurion is most like the treb just not jumping.
