The Grasshopper always seemed a bit ungainly and goofy looking to me. The TRO art looked unbalanced and the mini I owned always fell over. Plus the LRM5 in the head seemed stuck on somehow rather than properly built in.
There is none of that in this image. You've made the Grasshopper appear to be an intimidating, destructive force. Well done!

that looks very awesome.
I generally have found depictions of the Grasshopper to range from bad to horribad to blah, but I like the feel and look of this one a lot. Would pilot.

thanks! glad you guys like it, been in the mood to draw unpopular mechs recently, was thinking of drawing a firestarter or a hussar next.

my vote is for the Hussar. I tried to update it, but it still looked pretty bad, IMO.
The Firestarter, IMO just needs some proportioning tweaks to work. I got one somewhere. Still, either could be fun!

Definitely Hussar of those two.
Looks great and the fact it is Capellan makes it that more amazing.
Although, have you ever thought about making the shoulderpads a tad less cubic and more triangular from the front (and blocky from the sides) to appear a bit more like the original?

honestly, IMO that was one of the best improvements, along with the deletion of the impossible knees of the original. I always HATED those shoulders, and love the extra heft these give. I think it will look good in Dove Grey and Steiner Blue.

And thank you... you inspired me to finally knock out my own Grasshopper concept, using some elements of your own to knock off some of the crappier elements on the original.
