I didn't, hence my comment regarding it needing to have triple the hardpoints that standard variant has to be worthwhile. For example, the one the other guy on the last page was talking about seemed pretty badass. 2 PPCs, 4 MedLas, an AC10, an SRM6 and 2 SmaLas. 8 Energy, 1 Ballistic and 1 Missile rack? Bloody hell. Some of those energy slots are probably arm mounted, too. That thing would be a hellion on the field.

I'm tired off facing off against 6ppc stalkers and splat cats, and their ilk, I'm not a canon fanatic, but the cheese builds are tedious to fight against.

I think canon/stock mode would suffice. But that's fro another discussion.

I am guessing the Victor- extremely prevalent in the novels, plenty of variants, and a good balance of weaponry and mobility. Banshee, maybe, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd love the Hatamoto-Chi, but it probably will not make the cut.

Ok, it was a cease and desist order following the teaser trailer put out by Smith and Tinker on IGN. Though not the first time, as Harmony Gold has sued FASA in the distant past for many of their designs from the Macross Animes.

They aren't Harmony Gold's designs, they are simply licensees of the designs from a foreign entity as are FASA. They were both in the right from their own point of view.
More recently in Japanese courts the company that licensed the rights to FASA was found to be the rightful holder of the rights to the images, while the company that licensed the rights to Harmony Gold was found to only have the rights to the animated series.
FASA had just come out of a case where they lost to people that had ripped off FASA designs, and they weren't in a financial position to continue fighting so they settled.
If they had money, or the case were after the Japanese ruling they would have won, and we would all be playing the unseen right now.
ETA: I said are in terms of FASA because I believe they still exist as a legal entity that holds the rights (to the other non-unseen designs) which they have in turn licensed to others.

Good points about the Mauler, but I don't think the Victor is likely. We've already got an assault with JJs and I'm not sure the Victor can do enough compared to the Highlander to warrant inclusion at this time. The Hatamoto-Chi, with its mix of energy and missile slots, seems too close to the Awesome to be added either.
Also, the Victor and Hatamoto-Chi are both 80 tons. I think it's much more likely that we'll get a mech with a different tonnage than all current mechs, and that makes the Banshee more likely.

HG doesn't want to fight with Blizzard. Blizzard has money. In barrels. In swimming pools. Hot and cold running money from solid gold faucets.
PGI doesn't.

SEE?! SEE?!
Also, this.
Like, everyone and their mom can use the warhammer... can't PGI just say LOOK LOOK SEE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING IT!- I'm sure theres a legal term for that kind of defense .
Just refer to it as an unknown lostech design that was recently discovered (if they can cram the X-5 into lore they can cram this in too). Give it a new name. I suggest "NYA NYA HARMONY GOLD!"
Call it the "Hammer of War".

Back on topic, I'd like to see the 100 ton "Devastator DVS-2" as a new assault mech. General Kerensky himself designed the specifications for the Devastator.
History: When Stefan Amaris seized the reigns of the Terran Hegemony, production of the Devastator was stalled until the invasion of Terra, when a mere six prototypes were delivered to the Star League Defense Force. After its deployment in the battle for Terra, the Devastator remained lost to the Inner Sphere for centuries, until troops from the Federated Suns chanced upon the blueprints in a Star League base on the world of Hoff in 3023. A downgraded version of the 'Mech was prototyped in 3033 by the NAIS, using technology available at the time. It was not until 3044 that a Devastator appeared that was constructed using the intended technologies (DVS-2); this version was finally put in production by 3048.
Variants: DVS-1D, DVS-3.
DVS-2
Engine 300XL (54Kph)
14 x DHs
2 x Gauss rifles
2 x PPC's
4 x Med Lasers
[what other Mech do we have that could mount 2 gauss and 2 PPC's, plus the lasers! Not a mech I'd ever want to be "in it's targets".]
