Same here. It doesn't show up in the pilot labs either.

Patch notes say you can't buy it until May 21st.

Missed the comment in the patch notes intro. Don't know whether to be annoyed that I can't buy it or grateful I get to play with it a week early :]

About the jenner as trial mech - I think it is the best trial mech ever assembled. It has maximized armor, excellent speed, quite good armament with very good heat efficiency.I wish we'll see more such trials in the future.

I second this opinion and will seriously consider purchasing this trial mech when it becomes available.

I think it's non-existent.

It's great to see an excellent trial mech that is almost identical to what experienced pilots run. Lots of new players are stuck with absolutely terrible mechs and sometimes walk away from the game because of it. Honestly, a Raven that only hits 81kph is not going to given a good representation of light mechs.

Thanks so much!

I'm not a fan of giving new players small lasers. The range is super prohibitive, especially when someone doesn't know how range works yet.

Better to do a build with 5 ML or something (5 rather than 6 because of the drastic boost to heat efficiency, which makes it far more forgiving for newer players).

I've seen that 4meds+2smalls or 5 meds being used a lot more.

The issue here though is that the DHS distribution is poor.. and should even out instead of being spread. Losing the left arm would be too crippling IMO.

If the mech were designed to skim a little armor (since there is extra tonnage remaining) to get the tonnage for 4 meds+2 smalls and distribute it evenly, it would work better than the current version, which isn't bad, but not exactly "symmetric".

See the following:
4 meds+2smalls:
JR7-F
5 meds:
JR7-F

If we focus on nailing the "stronger" arm in the current build, the Jenner is easily crippled... especially in the current meta. Extreme short range is unproductive for most lights and increases their vulnerability.

The builds can be composed differently, but the functionality would be overall the same.

Please reconsider the build on the final Jenner version.

It's nice to see another Trial Mech that's Field-Capable, along with last run's Trial Dragon.

However, since the Trial Mech program will be ending in the foreseeable future, I don't know if people are going to be forking over MC for the XP bonus, or simply because Champion Mechs will come pre-decked-out with LosTech and will save users from having to add millions of C-Bills' worth of DHS, ES, etc...

... I mean, that's kinda the main reason why I would want one instead of a stock Jenner.

Great idea -- good way to introduce players to a solid competitive build.

Too be honest... I never liked any of the Lights. However, trying out this full build helps me to understand what a good base is capable of. When this is available for purchase I am so getting it.

I think you'd benefit from making the Champion concept an MC-purchasable module that players can then place on whatever mech they're currently using. You'll sell an awful lot more of those and you'll avoid cluttering up the game with these fake variants, particularly on variants many people have no interesting in buying.

I agree with a post above - It is one of the better trials I have seen - but I am pretty new. Compared to the Rav 4x we just had, this one really lets you see what light mech is all about. It has speed, and some firepower - very playable! Its not the best build, but its pretty good! I would buy one if I could for the boost it gives as a champ mech.

Sure the best trail so far but I never would build my jenner F with that setup. And the F is the only true Light killer, streaks cant stop them , sure 2 ssrm lights will kill a jenner but the F will erase 1vs1 every light streaker.
I hope the SSRMs get a debuff that they dont hit every time the CT. Total annoying is that when you get a streak in your face from 90° and 20 meters near the target.

I haven't tried it yet, but by stats and seeing others use it in combat I can already tell that this is the best trial mech I've seen. It's miles ahead of the paper-armored stock Jenner.
