Ok, omni-mechs are awesome, I know. However, I know there are some Inner Sphere loyals out there. Some may do it for role-playing, others may as a testament to the old-school. I'm curious about the whos, and the whys, as well. How many of you just simply aren't going to grab the Clan mechs? Who's gonna grab one as soon as it hits shelves? I'm curious, and I'm sure you are too, at least now. ;-)

I'm getting the Mad Cat moment it becomes available to Merc pilot.

For a realistic portrayal of how Mercs acquired Clan mechs, I might track down a clanner player and beat his clanner username and password out of him.... either way, I'm getting a Mad Cat ASAP. ;)

Something tells me, however, that Clan mechs will be available to everyone (whether or not we can use them as part of a merc corp drop is another matter entirely).

I don't see why a Merc wouldn't be able to use a Clan mech. Inner Sphere and Mercs generally used whatever suited them, or at least whatever they could get. Now, a Clanner not using an Inner Sphere mech, that I could see. Most Clanners (not all, I know some clans had more liberal views) would view it like fighting in a poo-covered uniform, in that they'd rather go naked.

I'm definitely going to try a clanmech, but much of my fun when clans are out will likely come from fighting a technically superior opponent with an IS mech.

I am planning on joining Clan Wolf first thing when the clans come out meaning I am going to want clan tech first thing. I may keep the Innersphere mechs out of nostalgia but then so did the clans when they left the Star League.

I do not see why Clan mechs and tech should be only for Clans.
I will buy any mech I want and I do not care if it is IS or Clan.

No Clan Tech. Ever.
The Clans are an abomination, they deserve to be wiped from the CBT world and be forgotten.

I've always liked Inner Sphere mechs better than Clan mechs. You can use whatever you want, but I've always thought that Inner Sphere mechs had more character and appeared less "cookie cutter" than Clan mechs. As such, I may play some, but most of my mechs will remain Inner Sphere.

I don't want to pilot clan mechs.

I'm OK with them adding them and hope they do them right.

I have a feeling, however, that this will end up being "Go Clan or Go Home" as with tabletop, in which case, well, I'll go home.

I'm confused, are trying suggest that there will be ANY who won't get a superior mech and tech? Have you even been reading the forums?!? The day clan tech becomes a reality you will see the end of IS pilots.

I can't wait to see how they try and balance clans. Going to be interesting. The epic crying will truly be something to see.

Once Omni's become available, I can guarantee you 90% of the playerbase will join the clans and leave the Houses empty.

Well if they allow IS pilots to use Clan tech(XL engines, weapons,ES,FF etc.) then I do not see why Timber Wolf should be superior to Orion.

I'm inner sphere only...Marik only actually. Never really got into the whole clan thing. It was a pretty cool storyline, but I preferred succession wars by a LONG shot.

I will not play with Clan tech.

If the game progresses enough that we can destroy an opponent and take their stuff, I will start stockpiling Clan mechs in a storage closet on my dropship.

Take that, you filthy balance-breaking space hippies!

I will not touch clan tech with a 10 meter stick being held by someone else.

Filthy clanner scum.
