Let us name our hero mechs, and have that name show up in the game.

we pay out the wazo for these mechs, we should be allowed to really make them our own. let us add our flair.

I remember reading that the devs were planning on doing this but I cant remember where I read or what the details were, maybe with UI 2.0?

For normal 'Mechs, they are adding that functionality to U.I. 2.0. I don't understand why, as it's not relevant to anything whatsoever that anybody knows what somebody else calls their 'Mechs.

Hero 'Mechs are a different story, as you don't name them at all. I doubt they will be giving them changeable names period, as they are representing some famous pilot's personal 'Mech.
