I'm not doing anything illegal, but every time I call up a shop and ask if they can slap some cool paint on a mech, they hang up. I usually get a very positive response at first, until they ask me what mech I will be brining in to get the paint job. Once I tell them it's one of the older models, the models people now a days refer to as a "founder's" mech, they laugh and abruptly end the conversation. What gives?

Dont be so lazy, its just a handful of stripes, grab a bucket n' brush and head up the scaffolding!

Of course some colours show up as more washed out than others, generally the rule seems to be the higher the cost of the colour the deeper its pigmentation(some colours break this rule).

Hahaha! I can just see me looking at a pallet of scaffolding and deciding to go with plan b: rubbing my mech up against a painted building and passing it off as modern art.

The hunchback has the least noticeable striping of the four and I've always wondered if that was intentional or if the textures were broken. It's like they were giving it another layer of paint and gave up after they finished doing the cockpit and cannon. :P

Forums probably had a hiccup when he submitted the topic and/or he hit the submit button too many times. The time stamps are the same, so it's pretty likely that it was unintentional.

i dont understand why people want to repaint their whole founders mechs.

having a unique colour was one of the bloody selling points of this mech

i would much rather have the cool blue grey colour on my foundes knowing that others cant.

its the same with the pc gamer one which i dont have, however if i did i wouldnt be crying that i want to be able to change it

Nope, not the paintjob - the actual MESH is different.

-Catapult beak
-Atlas head
-Hunchback....something
-Jenner...Dunno

Still, I dont see how they cant just copy the skin they have and allow different colours just like the heroes.

I think both Jenner and Hunch have a different style of cockpit.

Also PGI already announced they were working on colour changes. Founders mechs weren't created with the modular paint system that the new mechs are so it is taking more work to retrofit them to allow it.

Its not a bug, thats the mark of the FCC. We dont get together or generaly acknowledge one another openly, we have no handshake. .. We do however know a few [redacted] and perhaps [redacted] when the time is at hand.

At least they have confirmed they are still working on it. I doubt it will go any further than just changing the colors in the same fashion as hero mechs, but enabling the other camos for founders and heroes would obviously encourage people to unlock more patterns, so we may see that one day too.
