The default colors would be black for the base then one or two different neon highlights for the corners and edges of the mech.

Sure why not.

It makes for easier targets though I won't mind seeing some neon around.

Yeah, one of those 'meant to be visible' camos. Maybe as a "premium" camo it could actually glow.

Hell yeah, BT is an 80's kinda game at heart. Not cyberpunk, maybe, but in a related genre at least.

On one hand, it doesn't really go with the spirit of the universe.

OTOH, neither does the purple, green, orange monstrosities that my friend uses on his mechs, so why not I say.

Well, why not.

I can imagine a pilot stripping neon lights allover his machine, i can also imagine a pilot that mount discolights to distract from his lasers.

It is indeed the PC gamer skin :( used to have it on my awesome too, but I think they must have changed the skin as it doesn't look how I remember it...
