Ugly?! The Stalker is beautiful.

If they hadnt glued its feet on the wrong way it would be better. Its still a chicken legged walking *****.

I think Highlander too though. Very cool mech.

I'll give the game artists credit for making even the ugliest mechs in bt/mw look better...but there is no saving that piece of *****.
I'm not saying it won't be a dangerous mech though.

I think with all the lights, mediums, and heavies though (along with all the lrms)... we need a new 90-100 ton mech before we need a new missile boat, especially with the flea, treb, and spider on the way. We'll be swimming in smaller mechs. That may be canon...but I don't think it is what he majority of the player base want to see. Oh and we need a JJ capable assault first too. All that = Highlander should be the bigger priority for now. Cataphract is almost done anyways...and we need something to bridge the gap between 60t mechs and 80t mechs...and more jj capable heavies and/or mediums is always good :P

Honestly I really question some of the mech order decisions....I would think you'd want the coolest, most popular and most diverse line of mech in the game before OB, or as soon after it as possible for the sake of being as commercially viable as possible. That means JJ mechs, more heavies and assaults. Spider should have been in before the commando.

The flea before the highlander? Really? Cicada before the highlander? really? Raven, really?...the treb, stalker and spider are a bit more arguable, but still... You get a JJ capable assault in game asap if you want it to succeed.

I'm not saying they've completely failed in their choices, and it just my opinion but I think they could have done much better in choosing what mechs to get in the game first....especially after the initial 8. I got into beta just after the awesome was added to game...there hasn't been a mech added since then that I like, except the aws 9m variant...and the hero mech ylw(kinda)...which I'm not going to re-buy till I'm less broke...if ever.

I loved the S.T.A.L.K.E.R references.

I'd rather drive the stalker than the atlas. The aesthetics are nice.

err 2 LRM10s, 2 SRM6s, 2 LLASRs, 4 MLSRs is likely to be the ultimate streak 'mech, still I DO have 3 models :P

Looks like the front of a 747 glued onto some legs. But looks arent everything we have to wait how it performs in combat.

10 weapon hardpoints, seriously ? How do you intend to make an 8-harpoints Atlas (that is 20 tons heavier) viable in comparison ?

Armour and speed I guess. the Atlas is the iconic slow as crap but tough as a mountain mech of choice, this one may be better armed but probably more fragile

The space-shuttle Stalker is ready for launch :D

I wanna know how they plan to keep this thing cool with that loadout. Can someone quote the # of heatsinks?
Edit: sarna says stock model had 20 singles in it. So, in that story it would've hit that Atlas with the Llasers, SRM6s, mlaser, theeen overheat and shutdown with the second Llaser volley. ^_^

Yah even in TT this Mech is a walking Target and over size LRM/SRM boat.
I be passing on this one because a Cat can do the same job and protect its self some what from lights.
This one is nothing more then Jenner food, all I see is a chicken basting over a open fire with a Commando and jenner with a basting brush over a open fire pit.

Yes, Stalker was a mech I'd hope got a rehash. It's one of those mechs that had more weapons than it could reasonably fire at once. Thus presenting a challenge to pilots :D

The operative phrase being "reasonably". Button mashing is always an option... ;)
