Hey everyone,

We just wanted to let everyone know we will be bringing the servers down at 10 AM PDT tomorrow, for aproximately 30 minutes, to upload the hotfix for the HUD bugs.

We'll send another notice out tomorrow before and after the hotfix.

EDIT: AND SERVERS ARE BACK

Cheers,
The MechWarrior Online Team

And there was much rejoicing.

I've been looking forward to this announcement for a long time. Huzzah!

As with any bug "fix", I look at this with my usual forecast - 50% chance the "fix" doesn't fix it, with a 90% chance something else in the game will break.

Dead serious, if it works that's groovy - but after 7 months I've learned to keep my expectations of PGI really, really, low.

I rarely even get any HUD bugs since the partial fix in the patch last week. Looking forward to never seeing them again.

Since the "secret fix" in last weeks patch I have had one HUD bug in about one hundred drops.

This is down from approximately 1 in 4.

This is pretty much a non issue for me already but more stability is always a good thing.

I feel the same way you do Sir on the first half, I to have played MWO for some time. Even though the HUD bugs are annoying I still love to play MWO. Great playing with you on the battlefield.

Tomorrow should be made a public holiday to mark this momentous point.

I've always considered the HUD glitches to be like a Challenge mode in a sense.

"What will it be this time I wonder. Oh, no IFF! Ok, so a little extra time to double check whether a Mech is actually a foe on the mini map, no biggie... That is assuming I have a mini map. If not, things will get really exciting!"

Well hopefully now these will just be stories of old Mech Warriors reminiscing of the "good" ol' times.

Seriously, Thank you PGI!

It's great that they are fixing the HUD issues. They never really bothered me, though. I was in the military and had to deal with system errors and problems that couldn't be fixed mid-exercise, and you had to work through them. Good they are fixing the HUD, bad, cuz I will miss them just a little bit.
