Also, it'd be nice if you could render a little dot falling out of the sky at a distance.
Having something slam into an enemy mech's windshield would be A++.

Yes, because the maps are sooo varied and it is always a huge surprise, "Oh look they are on the other side of the crashed dropship again did not see that coming!!"

Also occasionally the rest of the team will join in flailing lasers in the air and it's fun, so what.

well the game isn't finishe and I (At least) have hopes of much more complex and tacticle mission goals than "Do we charge up the center or sweep aroung and cap". or "which direction do we circle on conquest."

I second this. Also, pulse lasers firing like the dubstep gun from the new saints row gameplay vid would be something I would pay for.

I thought that is what the start of the match was for?

Don't assume we're just doing it for fun. ...unless I'm team'd up, In which case I always shoot PPC circles around my teammates to get their adrenaline pumping for the match!

1. The majority of the time, it means the players are noobs and that we're probably going to lose the match.
2. Friendly fire caused by reckless idiots f@#king pissses me off.
Back before Testing Grounds was available to test out heat and weapons grouping it was annoying but forgivable. Now that players have a place to test their weapons, there's absolutely no excuse for this behavior at all...unless you are intentionally trying to be a douche.
