Briefing is up!
How in depth and detailed it is. To try and make it not look like Vantas is being bombarded by everyone asking at once, if someone has posted questions and hasn't been replied to, please post your bit in here and I'll copypasta it into my next post and answer you both at once.

So... the Nova Cat is out of the bag...

I shall have to think on this and post Cees' questions in this thread after Thom has posed his. Wouldn't do for the XO to jump in before the CO.

Oh I wouldn't worry about it bud. IIRC, last time everyone bounced in with questions all at once and Vantas started picking people at random like a teacher in a classroom ;)

Thom's quiet. He'll voice his question something along the lines of "Hey yo, Vantas. When you'sa be showin des guys bay three?" after Vantas answers the barrage of questions he's about to get.

For the moment, Li is standing quietly, arms resting on a chair back if people are clustered around a large conference table, sitting if no one else is standing. I have a mental image of Thom seated at one end of a large table, most of us standing around/behind him, facing Vantas and the other Irregulars in the room. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm going to hold off on replying until Shepherd has had a chance to jump in. Assuming Thom's description of Cees is accurate, (and it sounds pretty good based on the feel I have for the character) Li is going to be trying to tease out the power dynamic in the room while simultaneously being concerned about Thom and Cee's reaction. She is still worried about the possibility of this being a "disposable assets" job, and there is some concern that Thom and Cees may be spending too much time worrying about the Falcons and not enough time worrying about their employers. Li doesn't know Vantas like Thom does, but the fact that the ranking RAI officer seems willing to talk and is getting hushed by a bondsman is worrying. Who is really pulling the strings here?

Spokes, I always appreciate your insight into things, you always seem to see things that I don't.

That being said, I'd say character Thom isn't spending enough time worrying about the Falcons, he's too busy looking forward to playing a good bout of 'shoot 'em up' with them. But you do have a good point with the bondsman talking to Vantas like that and the possibility of us being disposable. Whereas a unit like the Dragoons, or the Light Horse would be missing... a group of miscreants like the Terrors disappearing would probably would only be a sigh of relief to some and forgotten by all the rest.

Loving that you guys can make accurate assumptions of Cees :) I'd already written that exact outward reaction.
Working on what's going on in his head and his questions now. Will post soon.

Sorry, not trying to put words in anyone's mouth, so to speak. What Li "sees" is not necessarily what's going on, but Rogue had kind of asked us a while back to let him know if our characters were "fishing" for anything, so that was mostly notice to the GM that Li is setting up her rod and reel. Thom obviously trusts Vantas, but is Vantas in charge? Cees has more information than Li does, but is he so blinded by his obsession with the Falcons that he might miss a subtle threat much closer at hand?

From the standpoint of the other characters in the room, Li is being quiet, but she is anything but detached. She is listening intently, watching, paying close attention to the people who are not speaking so as to better catch their reactions.

And that's why Spokes got the invite boys and girls ^^

It should be noted that Commodore has a higher rank than Captain, so even being a bondsman of the unit he would have some authority over Vantas. At least to my understanding - still, I suppose it is an oddness :)

EDIT: Shep has been answered! Next question.
FURTHER EDIT: No one is restricted to just one question or one post of them. Feel free to ask away as stuff occurs to you.

Well I think that spacers, bondsmen and otherwise, will always have rank over a ground pounder aboard ship. Of course this isn't counting overall tactical command of operations and whatnot. I'd fully expect that in a navel battle that the commodore/captain/or whom ever would say "Sit down general, you're only going to get in the way. We got this."

Rogue, when you copy/pasted the initial portion of the briefing, you forgot to change the date from the original thread. It's 3061, not 3063. :D

Good looking out Spokes, can you remind me this evening? About to dash out the door to induction day at work. I'z gonna be a bartender!
On that note, I move into my new place on the 30th and am entirely unsure how long it's gonna be before I'll have internet again. The good news is my work has free wifi, being a Wetherspoon's and all, bad news is I gain the impression they'd look down on me pulling a laptop out during a shift. I'll update you all as soon as possible - in the meantime, let's try and get a post or two out a week so Christmas doesn't kill it a second time.

It's short, but it's a post and I think even moves things forward a bit too.. IDK, let me know if you hate it.

Goof up on my part. I originally meant the 'Drunkard but somehow, for some reason, I was thinking of the Rogue's Drift, not the Drunkard's Walk.

Edit: Sorry make that the Rorke's Drift

Also note that while I don't really have time at the moment to type it myself, I've given Rogue the go ahead to parrot Adrianna's line from the first time around.

The Rogue's Drift...that's not a god awful name. Might use that for the second dropship.
Speaking of which. Thom, how willing are you to drag the 'Pride into a warzone? If you're unwilling, I figure Vantas would know and could have provided a second dropship. He'd prefer that, seeing as how the pride is hilariously unarmed.

Well if Vantas suggested it, Thom would go for it and keep the 'Pride as an ace up his sleeve, just incase things go South. Which I suspect will happen.

The Drunkard would be staying out of the system. If the Terrors are going to be in another dropship, the Pride won't be in system. Pinots only have one dropship collar.
