Sauce - Episode 6 (AWS-9M SPL SPECIAL)
Available in 1080p

-----

How do I explain this mech. Well, I can't really, just watch the video I guess.

What I can say is this - If you are tired of boring meta, find yourself getting burned out spamming the same 87 PPCs, while endlessly fighting swarms of tryhard min/max warriors, then give this mech a spin.

It's definitely... unique. Pushing against the current meta was the basic idea here.

Here's the smurfy build of it. Yes you can swap for MLs, but wheres the fun in that.

Any comments concerns or questions, just post. Thanks for watching, and remember to always kick robot *** in style!

You realize, you basically made a version of the Charger there, right?

Where's my brother? Mom says that we have to let him play robots with us, so now we have his mech!

Hell no I don't realize that, all I know is I made a horrible mech on purpose that goes against meta at the moment and went around pooping on randoms.

PS - Lol sarna'd the Charger, the story is hilaaaarious oh man, good stuff. Yes essentially I did what the lore about this mech says. I especially like this part - "Wells Technologies eventually found itself wallowing in over a thousand Chargers which no one now wanted to buy." Lol!

PPS - Hey wait a sec Charger only had 10 standard heat sinks? No wonder it failed, I'm using 22 doubles on this Awesome and it's still not a supercool mech.

Pretty cool, if not unconventional, build. Since watching Koreanese's training vids. I've been thinking about trying an all ML build on my 9M (with arm lock). Not sure how it will do in PUGs though.

NRP,

Well those were PUGs so... if you can imagine having twice as much range... and more damage... :D

Arm lock isn't really needed because only one of the lasers and the missile arm are going to be aiming through reticle. You can get more King Kong swing action without arm lock for shielding too.

THE ONLY OPTION IS TO HAVE 8 OF THESE WALKING WARCRIMES DROP AT THE SAME TIME.

If you boat even the worst weapon it suddenly becomes good.

I like the idea of doing it just on general principle though. In that regard, SPLs are the obvious choice because they seem to be universally hated.

Well, it took a lot of thought, but I think I've found a counter to your build. Thank God I'll be able to deal with it when it becomes FOTM.

Is it my imagination, or do pulse lasers have a higher chance to crit components? It seems they just make components explode much quicker than regular lasers.

They do not have a documented higher chance to crit.

What I suspect might be the cause of this perception is that pulse lasers tend to do more damage over a shorter beam duration. This means you are putting more damage on one area on average and increasing your chance to blow through a component. Most components have 10 hit points, BTW.

OH, and yea. Charger is hilarious! And that bit about my little brother, that is absolutely a true story from my middle school years. Our mom said we had to let my brother play Battletech with us; so we gave him a stock Charger. Everyone else had custom mechs. I was such a terrible brother.

LOL that is straight up rude, Kommisar! You sound like my older brother. He'd be playing Zelda for 5 hours and the only time I got to play is to kill a couple overworld goblins while he went to AFK making a sandwich for 2 minutes.

Obviously this mech would poop on others a lot more if those were MLs, but that's boring as hell. SPL FOR THE WIN
