Someone gave me this link on MechWarrior history http://bg.battletech...iverseGuide.pdf an I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a list of all the Mechs anywhere and when they were made?

mainly I want to know if there is something heavier than an Atlas

I remember the mad cat mk2 from one of the games but I was wondering if there was anything better?

Here is the exhaustive list of every 'mech.

To briefly answer your question, yes there are 'mechs heavier than 100 tonnes, but they aren't introduced until much later... And at least one of them was mostly just a troll build.

Instead of Sarna, why not point people to the official source? :D

^ An excellent site, though sadly still limited to the Jihad and Republic eras, so not of much use for the "current" timeline (as far as MWO is concerned).

The 'Mechs are there, though. It is only their faction availability that is missing - and we are working on that, but have a lot of other CGL duties and RL jobs, too :D

Just a quick question, if you don't mind.

What do you actually use as a source on what is who's.

TROs, Field Manuals, Novels, House Books... everything. Plus internal sources that do not get published (notes and stuff like that).

Not in this time period, no.

There was a failed attempt to build a superheavy in the days of the Star League Civil War; the Matar, more commonly known as "Amaris' Folly", featured in XTRO: Boondoggles.

The first 'Mech over 100 tons to actually function properly is the Word of Blake's "Omega". Published in Jihad: Final Reckoning, no examples are known to have survived that conflict.

Later on, a series of Tripod Superheavies, the "Colossi", emerge in the Dark Age. It seems that they will get "classic" BattleTech stats later this year, once Technical Readout: 3145 Republic of the Sphere is published.

Did not know this. Thank you for the info.

Matar - Even though the Matar has earned a reputation as a dead-end project instigated by a madman's dying regime (and rightfully so), the Matar would return to terrorize the Inner Sphere with the Clans, reborn as Clan Smoke Jaguar's Stone Rhino.

By now, the 200-ton Orca, together with the 125-ton Hogarth, also appears in "Free Taiw.. St. Ives", a PDF supplement from the Third League Turning Points series, in this case regarding a rebellion on the eponymous world of St. Ives in 3226-3227.
Downloadable for free on DrivethruRPG: http://rpg.drivethru...Taiw...St.-Ives

Also features the 70-ton Urbanmech successor design UBL-20 Urbanlord.

I'm not sure if the "April Fool's" 'Mechs should be presented along with their historical counterparts.

Even though if it turned out to be a boondoggle, the Matar was still "real".
