I was wondering if building would colapse under the weight of a 85 mech using jumpjet en position himself on it's top... or if they will get damage if an atlas ram them at top speed?

No information has been released on that topic yet. We've seen some buildings in the videos, but I can't recall any instances of mechs on top of the buildings, or even shooting at the buildings.

Edit to add: Also we don't have any jumping assault mechs announced yet.

Yeah, the invincible buildings (minus a few targets) in MW4 was annoying. I guess that was one thing MA did well. As for the question, it depends on the building (realistically; I have no inside info about this thing). Some buildings may be reinforced to withstand certain extreme conditions depending on the planet. Heck, some places may expect a 'Mech to be jumping around from time to time. But I imagine most would not do so well under the strain of an 85-tonner. Most would probably be able to support an Urbanmech, since that's the point of the little ******. As for the Atlas running headlong into a building, it again depends. Most buildings (like an office building) would probably get plowed through like the cheap inner walls of a mobile home. Depending on what he hit, it may or may not collapse the building entirely.

Again, that's just theoretical thoughts on the BT universe at large. I have no idea how PGI wants to handle it.

I would think that a destructible enviroment might become too much of a resource hog on the game... Although buildings, assuming that there aren't huge numbers of them, might not bee so bad. When you get an Assault Mech mowing trees down like they were blades of grass, it might be a bit too much info for all 24 players' systems to track all of the time in a 12vs12 match.

Didn't they say that there will be no destructible environment ... beyond trees.

So we might see exploding windows ... but i doubt the building will ever collapse.

It would be a shame... I would have like to see light mech being able to stand on building... and larger ones simply have the building colapse under their weight

Or even better, you shoot the building out from under the mech.
