it would be easier on us if they didn't tell us they sent out more keys, that way it won't feel so much like those who haven't been selected are being left out.

They're between a rock and a hard place with that; if they stop announcing that more keys are going out, there would be a ton of threads about if the beta has stopped, or if the game has hit difficulties or got legal issues etc etc.

Yeah, just keep your fingers crossed for a beta key. Or do what I do, and make daily sacrifices to the Meachwarrior gods (I.E. Paul). Today I killed a she-goat and a fatted calf. Tomorrow, I've got my eyes on Mr Bungles, my neighbors cat.

Seriously, kicking the server is not a good way to handle the issues. I know since I work in the datacenter, and from time to time, I do kick servers due to customers that seems to have lost their brain functionality in their head, driving me insane. However, it may give me venting relief, I can't say the same to the servers, since there can be power supply failure, memory modules knocked off the seats of the motherboard, or at worse, having the drives decide to take a dump and leave town.

That last part was the worst of it all, and you have to replace the drives, pray to the hard drive gods that there is backups to restore it and hope for best. But I would love to use PPC on it anyday when I feel like it.
