TRO version was ludicrous, IMO, whereas the MW4 version had BRAWLER wrote all over it. Might be partially because White tends to own Plog (IMO) as an artist though.
You DO KNOW that the MW4 version was like the 5th iteneration that the artist made and that it was pushed by Microsoft to be more "flair" instead of actually showing a lower profile of the city fighter the Fafnir is? EVERYONE can shoot the MW4 version thats why i never used it on PVP, it was just so easy to shoot CT it was ridiculous. The TRO version (drawing not the mini) is actually something that i would drive and have some hope i'm not cored in 2 seconds, and in the hands of Alex it would be glorious.
I still remain true to my former statement, the work is sublime and the attention to detail something of transcendental, it was just the wrong version to me. STILL, its the artists favorite and thats that.

you realize profile would be a simple matter of scale? Just because MW4 and Microsoft supremely oversized everything doesn't mean crap. THe basic squat profile is pretty similar to the others,
Feel free to like which version you like. But don't get in a twist if others disagree.

I did not know that...and I don't now how that tid bit of info would change my opinion. Should I suddenly hate this version because Microsoft pushed a redesign? I still like this one more than the TRO design...

It took about two months...there would be weeks where I got nothing done and other weeks were I would put in 30 hours on it. It did take a while though...but well worth it I believe.

Interesting, I thought you were using large chunks of plastic and then carving out the pieces based on how smooth your edges and corners appear. They really look like one single piece. Is that just the result of careful measuring and cutting or do you file/sand it down or carefully apply plastic glue to melt the edges and let them flow together?
Doesn't back-filling with resin get expensive? When I'm building stuff I typically use foamcore, styrofoam, or foam insulation (the non beaded stuff) for the bulk of it and then clad it in sheet styrene. Though this may not be durable enough for what you're doing. I'm just thinking there must be an alternative to resin or something you could use as a filler (or aggregate?) to take up space and then use the resin to fill in the gaps.

As for the nice edges, some pieces I get "pre-cut" by a friend. Mostly, it is a matter of being very careful with the hobby knife. I do use a liquid glue to make the edges blend into each other. I am also a fan of Aves Apoxy Sculpt...really helps with parts of the build.
