I hope they port MWO over to XBOX for the fans of MechAssault it would not break my heart to play against some XBOX Live players and have a much more fun time and many more targets to kick AASSSS on. :) Besides why do you think there at E3????????? :D

That's it. You're being stationed in the Periphery in a crppled Javelin with "Your mother was a freeborn" painted on it.

you know what's my favorite song? 'When the Sun Goes Down' (arctic monkeys, not selena gomez!)

you know what's my favorite line of the song? 'he's a scumbag, don't you know?'

Both Mechassault games were fun and the mech designs in both looked really cool.

Bring it...

Russ,

Would it be possible to get some gameplay footage from one of the 'normal' folks at E3 giving it a try? Something that could than be shared to maybe show how the game's development is progressing?

You really don't have to, but the business model isn't right for 360. If we see it on any console, it will likely be the PS3.

My vote would be the Nintendo Wee or Wii, or WeeWee - whatever it's called....

Why? Because I could play a hatchetman, and use the Wee controls to make hacking motions and one of those game pads to represent my running to and jumping on my opponent's heads!

The solution for mech melee combat has been found!!!

I seriously doubt any BattleTech or Mechwarrior game will be released on the PS3 or any other PS at that. As far as I udnerstand it, Microsoft still holds part of the Franchise. Then, it's just logical that they will never, ever allow a release for the PS.

See Developers Blog 0 for more information about this legal chaos.

Hey, if you guys happen to be over at the booth today and run across a guy named Westley (tall-ish El Salvadorian kid with a buzz cut), make sure to troll him like it's Paul's job. He's one of my guys here at work, and I just fired him off a message to let him know where you all are.

Those of you who dream of this game for PS3. Well it would be a cold day in Hell before Microsoft who owns everything Battletech/Mechwarrior and will never let their evil competitor (Sony) be allowed to have this or any Microsoft game on its console or handheld systems. Even Mechwarrior Tactics will not be allowed as well. Microsoft owns and controls it all not Wizkids or anyone else.

Microsoft just doesn't own part they own all. They bought FASA and allowed Wizkids to control and take care of the tabletop version. So no Sony or Nintendo port. I will say that Microsoft and Nintendo who are working literally just down the street (or streets) get along very well and Microsoft has allowed Rare and other studios of theirs to make games for Nintendo Game Boy, DS, and probably 3DS. Years ago their was talk of Microsoft buying a stake or all of Nintendo but that feel throught, however both company's like each other and both love kicking Sony's bottom at every chance.

I DVR'ed 4 days worth of E3 just so I coud get whatever snippet they did of MWO and MWT lol.

Oh well watched the first day and now know I don't need to watch the other 3 because getting a bit into day 2 I am really tired of them rehashing what already got shown on Day 1.

Microsoft sold the license to make a mechwarrior game to Jordan Weissman, the original Battletech/FASA guy.

However, I'm not sure how extensive that licensing agreement was.. it may have been limited to only making a mechawarrior game on the Windows platform, or something like that.. although I believe it covered "electronic entertainment rights" which would possibly extend to making mechwarrior (or shadowrun, or the crimson skies, or any of the other FASA products he licensed back) on any electronic platform he wanted.

I'm a little bummed because it means we won't see MWO up for any "Game of E3" awards most likely, but glad you guys are getting what you want out of the conference. Good hunting!
