The missing part of the "Best of Show" picture is shown here. It is the "Nominee" title on the bottom of the "Best of Show" sign. That also explains why the game isn't in the GameSpy article.

Well, when it comes down to it, I guess, what GameSpy deems good and bad is no different than any other person's opinion that might differ from mine.

Yeah, MWO gets the "Honorable Mention" way at the end of the article.

I hope they port MWO over to XBOX for the fans of MechAssault it would not break my heart to play against some XBOX Live players and have a much more fun time and many more targets to kick AASSSS on. ;) Besides why do you think there at E3????????? :)

From what I read they couldn't make the game for anything but the PC, the licensing was that limiting, hence why they had such a hard time getting a publisher. At least that's what I understood from that interview they did a while back. Microsoft probably made sure no one else would be able to make money off of Mechwarrior on their system when they sold it. Which leaves the PC which is the one system that can't really be controled by MS. And well trying to get it on PS I guess would have it's own can of worm involved also. But sounded like they had a really tight noose around the neck in terms of how many limits the licensing had.

And although mech assault was fun, it was an insult as far as being a btech fan. While Mech 4 was another in it's own way.

Hey Everyone,

Bryan and I are having a great time at E3 this year and it's been fun watching people play the closed beta from the show. I know there has been some concern on the forums about the lack of E3 coverage. I think we missed the mark in communicating with you the community on just what our E3 goals were. This was not ever going to be like a GDC for us where you guys would see tons of coverage. E3 is primarily a retailer show not a consumer show therefore we made the specific choice to not invest our marketing dollars into the show. Really our main goal at E3 was to come and support our partner Razer in announcing the Artemis and as part of that they asked to be able to have MWO on some pods in their booth. The Pods themselves could have been monitored better and it's unfortunate that there wasnt always someone on hand to help new players into the game. As to media visits our PR manager has set up several appointments for us which were very excited to take part in, PC Gamer yesterday is a good example. It is unfortunate if some other media outlets have come by expecting that Piranha would be here full time. If they talk with Stephanie Schopp our PR manager we would be more than happy to come meet with them and demonstrate the product.

In summary were getting everything we wanted out of the show, excitement is high with every single person we meet. You guys are a part of the best community in gaming and were working hard to get you all in the game as soon as possible.

Talk with you soon.

You can make it up at PAX Prime this year. HINT HINT.

See you there? :P

Highly doubtfull, im afraid. Response time of a Xbox player with their controller is crap compared to a PC gamer with keyboard+ mouse, even on this "slower" FPS kind of game. We will be continously beating their (xbox players) crap outa them, and It wont be fun for them, i bet.

You are indeed correct. M$ Has even tested this using a combo of FPS games including Halo. They took reputable "elite" Xbox360 players and put them against general PC players and the Xboxers lost every single round. Its much harder being accurate with a game pad than with a mouse and keyboard.
