Please add the ability to change the mouse sensitivity in the game!

Its beyond ridiculous. I have mine set at its lowest value and I'm still bouncing around like a drunken prom date after some roofies and a Trojan sponsored football team line-up.

Thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game... I've played multiple times now and actually put in some real $$ for some mechs and to be honest, the biggest problem I have is the mouse sensitivity issue...

You may want to move this to suggestions, in the mean time you can configure your mouse speed via your OS.

Go to the game files and locate the user.cfg file.
Open it in a text document.
It'll be empty.
Add this.

i_mouse_smooth = 0
i_mouse_accel=0
cl_sensitivity = 0.6

1.0 is the standard sensitivity. I like 0.6.
Remember to use a period and not a comma. Also you have to restart your game client for it to take effect.
As far as I know, this is allowed by the developers.
Hope this helps.

If you can't find it... the file hasn't been created yet. You'll have to go into Notepad and make one. Depending on your Windows Security settings you might have to make it in Documents and Copy/Paste it into MWO Folder.

Right Click MWO Shortcut you use to launch the game and select Open File Location. Then DO NOT put the user.cfg file there. Go to the Folder called "Mechwarrior Online" put the file there.

PITA right... before you say it repeat "This game is in Beta" 10x

It is not included with the current install. You need to create and name a new text file, then paste the text.

click the Start menu and use the searchbar at the lower left. Type in c:

click on C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online from the popup menu

click 'new file' on the taskbar and name it user.cfg -you now have a user.cfg file in your MWO games folder. To edit it from this point forward, open it with notepad to add your changes, and be sure to save the changes when closing.

You're quite welcome, glad it got you going. Now that you have a .cfg file to mess with, here's another useful line to add to it:

cl_fov = 75

this is your Field of View, expressed in degrees. default is 65, but most feel it puts the pilots face too close to the forward ferroglass and limits the view. Values must be between 60 - 85. I prefer 75 myself, since anything less than that is too restricting and anything greater starts to fisheye. <ALL> gl, hf!
