Flight path needs moar adjusting and AMS further buffing, but otherwise seems to be in order.

Too bad that this LRM-buff made X5's nearly unplayable, 'cause AMS can't be installed.Maybe it can be changed?

So during the last LRMpocalypses those defending the LRMs always said take cover. That isn't working anymore. LRMs don't do that much damage as during the last LRMpocalypses but they ALWAYS hit. ER Streak 20s. I must say I 'enjoyed' the PPC/Poptart meta more than this

I refuse to vote until you add a fourth question:

Should LRMs hit the Center Torso 100% of the time, every time?

Of course they should!
That's a silly question! :P

I think if you have LOS, and Artemis. They should probably have a good chance to hit CT.

Once they fix Artemis working without LOS, and the Splash damage. I think it will sort out the indirect fire CT kills.

I personally like the new threat of LRMS.

I think they can be balanced by correctly implementing splash damage to the missile salvo, damage spread to all sections of the mech ( very slight favoring of CT if you have optimal clustering due to TAG + NARC + Artemis).

The dive point of the arc just needs to be tuned back such that hiding behind small to medium cover (cover up to say... 2-3x mech height) cannot block LRM fire, but standing behind a giant cliff face should block all indirect LRM fire.

Not entirely what can be done to mitigate boating of LRMS by missle-friendly assaults (STK), but I think a combination of smart use of ECM and AMS can mitigate the effects of one or two boats until brawlers close, but could be very much exploited by a team of ECM atlases and stalkers.

Ideally, we'd like a team of LRM boats to not be the optimal strategy for big teams, but that LRMS used with good coordination should be able to do well in a match.

Coming from you I'd think you're being serious and not sarcastic.

I figured everyone knew that already, this is why it's not in the questions. This is something they said was going to be fixed a while back. The others were new....

Yeah. Fixed a while back... That was supposed to be fixed today... but got missed in testing somehow?

:-|

Anyways, it'd help round out the poll and better represent the patch state.

I'm pretty much in agreement with the consensus that LRM speed and damage is fine, but the flightpath is horrid.

I played for 2+ hours last night and cover from LRMs was impossible to find.

Felt this should get bumped after 48 hours so folks can change vote if they want. The flightpath could use improvement, maybe downward adjustment for the speed, but the damage is fine and I'm worried about it getting nerfed again when the splash damage is tuned.

Yes; Flight path is way outta whack. There is little to no chance of gaining cover in most situations with a spotter.

Yes; speed is better. Could be faster on take-off and slow over distance, but I'll take it.

Yes; damage is better. Coreing targets too much, and that splash needs an overhaul. LRMs should be more overall damage to where the danger is not being cored like it is. I'd take a full point of damage per missile and a far wider spread for damage over the rest of the mech.
