I understand what everyone is saying with not wanting to shoot Sarah's mech. I believe that you are looking at it the wrong way and that it is not so much shooting/destroying her mech but more of the person is fighting and using her mech. To me that sounds more special that a part of her spirit lives on fighting beside us than we are blowing up a piece of Sarah. If you face it and happen to destroy it yes it is disappointing but the fact that it may fight along side you again in the next battle more than makes up for it.

My heart hurts for Sarah's family. My 4 year old little girl loves to help me "get 'em good!" as well, and reading about Sarah just broke my heart.

Same here. My condolences to the family. Just the other day my own 4 year old cheered me on to "get the baddies".

Can't remember if I ever played against Sarah, but if I did I hope she blew me to bits.

I wish I could write something deep and meaningful but this is just too heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I hadn't planned on ever using this mech in battle to begin with. The point to me isn't to get something usable in game out of this. it is about support and rememberance. Ii will really bother me to see a ton of folks running around blowing up a mech called Sarah. Now, if you are gonna name it something like Flashback37 mentioned and give it the loadout and paint job that Sarah used to go after Atlas' then that's a different story. then it becomes something different, something more. Now you are honoring the memory of the girl. You're going on there and doing what she loved to do.

Or add a cockpit item that is a little girl quoting "Get 'em good!' then yeah. I'd buy that. as a rememberance.

RIP Sarah. Truly a tragedy to lose one so young.

I think immortalizing her memory in game with proceeds helping cancer research is a fantastic idea. Perhaps a "Sarah-phim" angel-themed custom camo scheme?

Name the Sarah's hero mech the Seraphim. Give it wings. Let her fly...

RIP

All life is precious and it is sad when someone so young passes away. A parent should never out live their children.

I know nothing I can say will change anything. But to the family, I would like to give my condolences.

The picture is not of Sarah's Jenner. In many cultures, ravens watch over the spirits of the passed, and guide them to the next world.

I can't comprehend the depth of such a loss and my thoughts and condolences go out to the parents.

Since Sarah was a fellow mechwarrior, and the association of ravens in other cultures (as zraven7 has pointed out) strikes a chord with me, in her memory I will pilot my raven exclusively with the colors and camo displayed in the first post of this thread until her hero mech is released.

It's not much but its the least I can do and its how I want to honor the passing of one of our communities members now that the ranks of light pilots everywhere is lesser for this loss.

Rest in peace Sarah.

Thank you. That's the kind of solidarity that makes this community great.

This is a hero Mech that on moral Principal I know I'll get. Back in '06 my cousin died from a brain tumor, he was 21. My Aunt and Uncle have never been the same, and since the girl was so young it has to hurt her parents so much more. I'm honestly holding back tears while typing this, just knowing the kind of effect this can have on a family.

My condolences to the family. That story truly moved me. I agree with others about destroying a tribute during a game..I offer up this idea: Instead of an actual mech, a cockpit item mech painted with her color scheme. That is way those that want to, can pay our respect and show remembrance, with out destroying anything. This project has my full support no matter which way it goes.

I think that's also an excellent idea, anything that lets us show our support and contributes to a cancer society in form of a donation taken from the in game sales of the item has my full support. A mech or a cockpit item, as long as its something we can do to show support then I'm all for it.

I essentially grew up in various hospitals and can say that the fight against pediatric cancers shaped my life. I have seen the triumph of remission, the tragedy of failure, and the indomitable strength of those who carry on.

To Sarah's family, you have my deepest heartfelt condolences.

Sleep well little dreamer.
Know that those who love you will see you again.

My condolences to the family.

Jenner hero "get 'em good!" now, please.

And the benefits for the fight against cancer.

Keep running and shooting with your little Jenner, Sarah
