Make her a Hero/Champion Mech so that she might live on in the MWO universe .

This thread is NOT about openly attacking other people who express opinions different from your own, or even from the acceptable norms. It is NOT a place for debate about individual humanity or lack thereof.
By doing so you stoop to a level which degrades the very core purpose of this thread. Unacceptable.
Save the Troll posts for somewhere else.
So Endeth the Lesson!

Here here! I am fighting the watering in my eyes as I have just read this story as I watched my own girls play and eat popcorn enjoying their childhood. May our creator bless her family and hold her dear as her family did.

Personally, I'd love to see a 'Canon' Raven dedicated to her.

I look forward to the Sarah and do not think anything less than a HERO mech will do in this case. I will buy it regardless, but only a HERO version comes even close to representing the loss of this young MechWarrior. If it has ECM all the better
A friend of mine sent me this when I suffered a loss years ago and I think it is apt here as well.

Sorry, can you explain PGIs history around money that is supposed to go to charities, and how it does not go to charities? Or similar actions? I am unaware of such things and would like to be educated if this is the truth.
Im a founder and am pleased with my investment thus far. Is this what your referring to with this statement? the use of founders money and subsequent purchase of MC? If so, one is not related to the other. Thanks ahead of time for your clarification of this statement.
EDIT. Changed wording.

The words posted on the first page of this thread for "Fare Thee Welll MechWarrior" are mostly correct, but are from an earlier version of the poem and not the final version that has been available since 2008. I have posted the correct words in the video's YouTube info section and offer them here:
Fare Thee Well MechWarrior
MechWarrior, cling thee not to this world,
As it holds for you no more.
But Listen! Listen for the song from afar,
And heed the lilting call of the land that awaits.
Let the final breath slip from your pierced chest,
And your broken hands fall from the stick.
Bend your bloodied brow to this life,
And let tumble the shattered helm that once cradled your head.
Leave behind these acrid smokes of the fields,
These swirling battlegrounds of charred metal, bone and flesh.
Depart from the flashing fires that filled your eyes with destruction,
And abandon the burning hulk of steel and crimson that was your mount.
Hold not to this realm,
But hasten! Hasten down the twisting path to the mountains.
To the dark mountains and beyond,
And across the shimmering sea.
Voyage then. Voyage thee well MechWarrior.
Voyage thee well and long.
Cross the great divide,
And find the land that beckons with its Siren's song.
Where swords and strife cannot follow,
Nor can cruel laser and cold gauss reach.
Where rolling hills of soft sun and velvet grasses embrace,
And quiet waters sooth your beleaguered soul.
Then, lay thee down MechWarrior,
Lay thee down and sleep.
Dream the dream's of victors...
Loose the silver cord...
And find your peace complete.
Fare thee well MechWarrior.
Fare thee well.

Don't get me wrong. I love the idea but my comment is on trust. They have not shown a history of listening nor keeping to their word.
My family also faces the battle against cancer but until PGI gains back my trust by actually listening to the community and not steamrolling through all our feedback, then I would start to believe in them again.
I was a huge supporter when this game started, as you can see from my Legendary Founder status, but I have come to be continuously disappointed by PGI's lack of diligence in listening to the community with their broad strokes changes to the game.

Thanks for following up. Its nice to be able to have a disscussion with out flame and blame. I can understand your feeling and hesitancy. But, really, one has nothing to do with the other. If PGI comes out and says "Hey, here is the Sara mech and ALL proceeds from purchases of this mech go to "X" charity", well then that is what is going to happen. For one its good PR, but two, and correct me if I am wrong my friends in Canada, but to state that something is 100% for charity and to then not give that money over as said, I think they would have major legal problems and terrible PR.
Money that we gave and continue to give to have extras in the game and have the game improve, and how they decide how to use it to evolve the game is a different discussion. How we perceive how PGI listens to the community is another discussion. That is business.
Again I totally understand your reservation, and if they come out and say "Hey here is the Sara mech, come buy it!" and they don't mention charity or how the proceeds will be used or distributed, I will agree with you. But if its for Charity, which all indications sofar point to, I will be the first to buy a mech that will help make a difference while also playing the game that I really really really really love (no matter what I think about the 3PV direction the game is going).
Again thanks MWHawke for taking the time to discuss this with me, even if in the end we do not agree.

I just discovered this story today, after being away from this game and the forums for a couple months.
I have been tearing up while reading the posts people have made here. This story hit me pretty hard for some reason, though obviously I have no personal connection or acquaintance with her/her father. Its pretty difficult to write what I am feeling...difficult to choose my words.
It is clear, however, that this child was/is the light of her father's life.
I admire him just knowing that he introduced his daughter to this game and this setting and the fun that can be had - and I admire him because it seems clear that he found elements of virtue in this game and the process of gaming, which can bring people together and build strong bonds and teach a variety of significant lessons. To me this is good parenting, and I have no doubt that Sarah loved spending time with her father in this way and both of them were better for it.
I salute you, in my opinion this is exemplary parenting with an imaginative non-traditional approach. Your daughter was lucky to have you for a father.
There is another very impressive force at work here: all of the people posting in this thread. While acknowledging and honoring the tragedy that has occurred, you all stepped up with nothing but respect for each other and have interacted in such a positive way that if the tears weren't still lingering in my eyes, I would almost be happy seeing this thread.
It proves to m that you all actually can get past the petty things and come together to try to help and comfort a member of your community. All of this on a game forum which is notoriously contentious and conflict ridden.
Thank you, Sarah, for helping to remind us gamers what is truly important. I am so very sorry that it is the result of your painful absence that allowed people this moment to shine, but I think it is beautiful that you will be immortalized and remembered in perfect mechwarrior fashion - the creation of a Jenner tribute mech. I know that I will cry a little inside every time I see one of these mechs fly past me, or when I see it in my mech-bay every time I log in.
This is the only post I will make (with this account) and so remain (sort of) anonymous. A 5 year old little mechwarrior girl - these are the sort of unique things that legends are born from. Sleep well little hero.
