Not to sound cynical or heartless, but am I the only person who will feel really bad head shotting these things?

"Hey look it's that Raven tribute to that poor little girl. EVERYONE BLOW THE CRAP OUT OF IT!" is my only reservation, honestly.

Is that what you would think as you saw it (the jenner)? That's your internal struggle then. I suggest yoga.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't hesitate to murder it, but it's still.. a bit awkward.

Still the idea was in the right place and I think having a charity 'mech is a great idea overall. I would like to see a couple more charity models added in fact if this works out well.

MCs loaded and waiting to get this mech - it's of no consequence if it's gonna be a Jenner or a Raven, I'll get it.

I've already said I will buy this mech, I dont like or run jenners, but will have at least 1 in my mechbays, and as all of my mechs, she will be run, she will destroy things, and she will, above all else, "Get 'em good!"

Even a little girl wouldn't find it fun if nobody shot back.
I don't know if I ever played against Sarah and her dad, but if I did I'm pretty sure I shot at them then. I would shoot at a mech in her honor just as I would any other mech because it's part of the game that she enjoyed.
Well do I remember the pouty little look on my (niece) Sarah's face as she said "You're not playing the game right Uncle Johnny!!" when she realized I had been letting her win some game we were playing.

Make her mech. Some night when I'm playing and I get that feeling that someone is looking over my shoulder.....I'll jump in her mech and we'll get 'em good!

I'm in!I believe that everyone has known of a friend or family member that's been touched by cancer but when its a child it really tugs on the heart strings.I will gladly purchase it and tell all my mechwarrior buddys as well.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Sarah will be forever remembered by the mechwarrior community.

Even if they don't make a specific charity mech, they could funnel money from an existing mech.

You know who else died of brain cancer? Chuck Schuldiner, the father of death metal and the singer and guitarist of the band Death. We have a mech named Heavy Metal. You see where I'm going with this?

why not make one for Cliff Burton or Dimebag Darrel, or Jeff Hanneman, mebbe not cancer deaths, but all tragic in their own ways, but at least those musicians are well known, I mean, Slayer, Pantera, and Metallica??

I know alot of people are angry and upset because of the fact that we would be destroying the memorial every time we play and that isn't a memoriial at all, but thats what SHE did with mechs, so it is quite appropriate.

I dont want this mech so I can have a shiney to show ppl I helped... I dont even want to run it alot, I just want to know that I have done what I can to help someone in THIS comunity, I help in my own community to a degree (poor and unhealthy)

Every time I load up MW:O and see that mech (mine will be named Jeffy after a friend I had who died of brain cancer) I will know that it is but 1 more way that I have helped.

I thank those who are helping to get this done, I also thank the nay-sayers as they are getting us to see both sides of this fence, and potentially helping some of us make more rational descisions regarding purchasing this mech, or donating directly to charities...

BWC has donated to Child's Play in Sarah's honor as well as looking at how we can add the St. Jude's Research Hospital to the list of charities and organizations our Play To Give Back™ Philanthropy supports. We will be encouraging our membership to purchase this mech when it becomes available.

Tragic events such as this resonate on almost every conceivable level and how a community responds to them is telling.

/salute to you all.

A couple of pictures of the Sara Jenner have been posted in another thread.

I gotta say "LOL", Devs you did an awesome job on this for the memory of a little girl. Stickers all over it.

It made me remember when my girls were so young and put stickers on everything, refrigerator, front door, dressers, books, bathroom mirror, toilet, and most of all the back seat of the car.

GREAT WORK!

Sadly the other thread unfortunately has turned into a flamefest against PGI and thier delay on its release and lack of communication in its delay.

Please bring the negative about the mech here, in a thread about the mech and not the one about the passing of a little girl. Please have some dignity folks.

Or better, dignity about the whole thing and remember why we even get this mech in the first place.

I voted "There is no other option" because there is no other option.

I am considering getting the 'mech. The cause is worthy.

Gonna buy it the moment it comes out, and even name it Sarah. It'll be the first mech I didn't just keep the default name on. Not worried about it getting blown up. My young son plays video games all the time and doesn't get upset if he blows up. He thinks its funny and laughs. I should take a cue from him on that.

It was announced that due to legal reasons with the way charities work, Sarah's Jenner had to be put back till July, not sure if it is going to be patched in on the 2nd or the patch after that

It could theoretically even be August, but I`d rather have them have all the legalese and groundwork for future charity type events /sales (we may have sown a seed here) locked down and vaulted than have a bookkeeping glitch turn it into a nightmare

No, I would not buy it. On top of that, I would purposely target every single Sarah Jenner/Raven. Why should PGI profit off a girl dying of cancer? If we are going to give a girl who barely knew what battletech was a mech, why not give a mech to every battletech fan who croaks a mech? The whole motion here is romantic, but not practical.

First, please keep it civil. This is a lot of people who are trying to do the right thing, and trying to pay tribute to someone taken before their time.

Second, the proceeds are all going to fund cancer research. PGI is not making money off of this, and this was not their idea. This was an idea pushed by the community, and accepted by them. This is us wanting to put an in-game memorial to a brave little girl, and to help fight cancer in the process.

If you don't agree, that is more than fine. People have very different ideas on how to honor or memorialize someone. Just please don't criticize others for trying to do good.

Yes, mine had a lot of profanity and name-calling, then Z's popped up and I decided not to post. Thanks, Z.
