the problem with the game is not broken weapons it's not the broken heat system. it's not the ludicrous convergence system that allow precision targeting beyoine the effective range of the weapons in the game...though these are issues.

It is players who rush to exploit every flaw, every and error the Devs make.
it's the ****** who packs his mech full of LRMs when they are messed up. it's the **** who runs his fast mech around trying to pick of components to improve his stats while his team loses.

Excuse me for using the mechanics that give me the best chance of winning.

Yeah, true. Tried to play a few matches but there's too many ******** abusing LRMs atm so I am putting MWO on hold until this is fixed.

The devs made a mistake, but it's the players who are ruining the game right now.

That's funny..

It's almost like the exploiting of ridiculously low PPC heat-costs, speed, and the heat system for people using 6PPC stalkers.

Only difference is; games are moving and dynamic rather than prance fests.

Nonsense.

Players are free to utilize whatever at their disposal to win a match. It's human nature to gravitate toward the easiest way to win, that is the nature of every multi-player PvP based game. If you can't accept that, you better stick with your single-player game because you're not going to have fun here.

The dev on the other hand, failed to provide a balanced environment for player to compete against each other.

Damn those beta testers who test the things that have been changed!

What are they thinking?!

no I won't.
you can choose to play the game as it is intended to be played or you can exploit. I have a 4:1 win loss ratio and I do not

mike29tw

thats call sophistry. look it up.
it's a choice. and a tacky one. the excuse that "it's ok" because the other guys do it is just that. a shallow
excuse.

Jestun

you can test the wepons without rearming to boat whatever is borken this week. another petty excuse.

doesn't matter what the weapon or exploit is it's still an exploit. in the case of the hex stalker it a major failure on the part of the devs yes. but it's still an exploit.

Yeah, very dynamic when both teams hide behind a rock and spam LRMs at each other. Overly dynamic to be precise.

Assuming the devs balance based on metrics rather than the level of whining, playing an unbalanced setup is more likely to get PGI to make a balance change as it will make a difference to the metrics.

in this case I'm only partly talking to the devs. it a useless waste of time I know...But I refuse to beleive that all of us are so petty.

if enough people refuse to do this it will improve the game and the expeeince.

But will hide any balance issues in the data collected by our matches. This is a beta test, how fun it is comes secondary to testing the game.

BTW as a point of information...
I own four mechs currently.

Pretty baby.
2xERLL
2xSSRM
LRM20

Treb7m
LRM20
2xSSRM
2xML

Heavy metal
Gauss
2xSSRM
3xLL
(there is nothing wrong with "boating" it's part of the game. I bought HM for this build explicitly.)

Cicada3M
3xML
AC2

my next mech with be a Catapult C!armed as per stock but upgraded.
and an atlas DDC cenetered around ac20 and PPCs

What? Me worry?

I always have a great time in MWO. If my favorite mech isn't working I switch to something new. Right now that's a Trebuchet with 2xLRM15. That mech sat in the hanger for 6 weeks waiting for LRMs to start working again. Hopefully in the final fix I can still use the TBT-5M, if not, probably back to Muromets.

Yep, I see a lot of this too. Obvious 4-mans loaded with LRMs standing in one spot allowing the PUG players to spot, and die, for them.

It's OK not because every one else is doing it. It's OK because the game allows people to do it. Until PGI fixes the LRM, people can boat how many LRM they like because it's within the game's rule and it's PGI's job to make the rule right, not the players'.

FYI I don't like lurmpocalypse anymore than you do, but I don't come on the forum spitting in front of other players either.

agasin you don't have to boat the weapon of the week to use it...I have 2 mechs with lrm 20s they had them before the patch and they'll have them after (unless the hotfixs makes them completely useledd.
LRMs are my favourite weapon in the game. the catapult my fav mech.

Nah we bring our own spotters. Much more reliable and stable tagging.
